To me, that's part of the problem with replay. It gives the ref the idea in the back of their mind that if they fuck it up replay can fix it...so they have a mental backup...which is all kinds of wrong

The thing is, that one didn't even remotely need replay. Total waste of time. Didn't apply there but what if the Vikings had the Saints on the ropes and the defense gassed late in the game? That could easily kill momentum and change a game. It just pisses me off that Goodell and Riveron can't see this and get these guys straight.
