Since DJ brought up Bradford's stats I may as well bring up a simple comparison. Keep in mind Bradford has to learn a playbook.

Yep- said this before, but it's telling that an average QB in Alex Smith goes for two 2nd's and a QB like Kaep can't even convince GM's to take him for a 3rd or 2nd. Eagles found a desperate buyer- I thought it'd be the Jets earlier in the offseason, but it looks like the Vikings stepped up to the plate for most desperate.jesus christ they could have gotten Kap for a second straight up...at least Kap has taken a team deep into the playoff's and almost won a SB...speaks volumes on how no GM wants anything to do with him.
It really doesn't matter if you're not a good passer, or the cast blows; or both. I've seen it many, many, many times for a similarly good RB in Charles when he has been healthy. AP can run for 2000, I don't care. Won't make Bradford a better QB.So having AP ISN'T going to make his job easier?
Bradford starting week 1. The desperation is real....
That's like me saying the Chiefs made the playoffs in 2010 with Matt Cassel because of Jamaal Charles. Cool accomplishment for a dominant season- but it has little bearing on this year.you guys are forgetting that the Vikes made the playoffs a few year back with Ponder as the QB. AP is still there, hopefully an improved O-line and real solid D and ST, this team has legit chance with average QB play
Well, yeah, but Kaep to the Broncos was the talk of the forum for a few weeks as amusing as it was.No one would trade for Kaep given his current political stand, his weight loss and "sore arm". He sounds like he is done.
Bradford at least goes through the motions of being an NFL QB.

Did you not mention Super Bowl earlier? Let me ask you a question. If Bradford doesn't make the Vikes a Super Bowl contender, what good does it do to throw away a 1st round pick do?Where did I say Bradford makes them a Super Bowl team?
There's gotta be something off with you cognitively
Kap on the vikings would have been a great fit imo....strong defense and run game similar to the 2012 49ers, who knows if Kap never unleashed this media firestorm what could have been.
I would have just rolled with Shaun Hill..he's pretty much a veteran Sam Bradford.with less injuries.

Maybe you need to stick to hockey.

The Vikes could have claimed Mettenberger for free and be no worse than Bradford. At least Zach can play 16 games.
