The Eagles are going to get a top 3-5 pick. I will be surprised if they do better than 4-12, maybe 5-11.

It's a lot to give up but they badly needed a QB and to get one that won't take forever to learn the playbook(or in Freeman's case never learn it) they had to do it.

With Teddy it was going to be another late first round pick, and our team isn't in a position where they badly need the pick.

Worth the risk, but it's a massive one.

Problem is Bradford doesn't guarantee the vikes will be picking late, and if he's on the team more than one year it means Teddy isn't playing. The Vikes would have been better off losing in 16, and try to make a run with Teddy and a high draft pick in 17.

The desperation is real, hahaha. The Eagles got a little lucky it looks like. They were asking for TWO seconds (the Alex Smith trade II) for him during the offseason which I'd imagine most laughed off. We'll see if that's the case.

Well a 5th year option for an end of round 1 player isn't all that expensive especially for a QB. Also have to remember that if they do the option the contract is guaranteed only for injury so as long as they know Bridgewater would be cleared by then they can have some time to evaluate him and if he is not able to get back to where he was before then they can drop the option year. Contract wise they would take the average of the 3rd-25th highest paid players from the prior year at the position and average it out.

He might struggle early in the season while he learns a new offense but Peterson and the defense are good enough to carry them through the first couple months.

By the end of the year he should be an upgrade over Bridgewater. He's never had the supporting cast to show his talent as a pure passer. He's better than people think imo

I agree with this. He just needs to stay healthy......something that has proven difficult for him.

He actually played pretty well for the Eagles last season, 65%, 266ypg, 7ypa, 86 Passer Rating.

Yet, as you just said Teddy might not be playing.

This team is too talented they won't be awful wth Bradford so the pick isn't going to be top 10 regardless.

We've already seen Teddys growth stunted. Waste a year of AP and hurt the development of Treadwell and Diggs with no QB? No thanks.

This way at least it's just Teddy trying to get up to speed whenever he comes back.
