Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have reduced their pre-season roster by 11 players.

The following players have been assigned to their junior club:
Kellan Tochkin, Right Wing (Medicine Hat, WHL)

The following players have been assigned to the Chicago Wolves:
Anton Rodin, Wing
Taylor Ellington, Defence
Alex Friesen, Centre
Prab Rai, Centre
Adam Polasek, Defence
Stefan Schneider, Defence

The following players have been released to the Chicago Wolves:
Matt Clackson, Left Wing Nathan Longpre, Forward

The following player has been released:
Manny Legace, Goaltender



presumably Clackson and Longpre will be signed by the Wolves themselves, so they won't count among the Nucks 50 contracts.

i see the first, makeshift second, and third line set.

I know its fluid but any chance Fedoruk-Lapierre-Jensen is the front runner for line 4?

Injuries: Aaron Rome out 4-6 weeks (finger), Nolan Baumgartner 4 weeks (broken foot), Steven Pinizzotto indefinite (shoulder). - TSN

good for Baumgartner. he gets an NHL paycheck while he's up here
(you can't demote an injured player).

oh yeah very much so with that. Glass alone was a wasted spot (imo) yeah he added some toughness and wasnt a terrible skater but he was so limited in what he did.
