That is the real beauty of what Allen has done this off season. Barring injury, we are basically going into the draft with a possible starter at every position already on roster. I know some will scream (loudly) that we can not go into the season with any of the projected RTs we currently have on roster. But reality is that if the season started this sunday, we are pretty much set up to be able to feild a competent team in most areas. Thus we dont have to force the pick for any position. There will likely be a narrowed down list over the next two weeks. BUt if a stud stands out, we dont have to pass or trade out of the spot because we have got to get a (insert position)

This is interesting. Van Noy would obviously be there at #34. This speaks that they don't want to sign Rak long term. The drafting of this guy at #34 will cause chaos.

How so?? Apparently he can play any LB position. Since we currently only have one ILB that isnt coming off injury signed past this year, its possible they are looking at him as a guy we can bring in to mold into the LFB role. Or have Riley finally take over that role and have Van Noy play the Riley role.

CBS compared him to Chad Greenway and OLB. walterfootball also said OLB. No one has said ILB

Mosley played strictly OLB in college. Some guys are talented enough to make the switch. And while he is listed as an OLB, many have stated Van Noy is versatile enough to play any of the LB positions.

van noy can play any lb position so picking him gives the skins a lot of options in the next few seasons at LB

Wow, Didn't realize this guy could play inside. He's a player, definitely worth considering, and I think he will make it to #34.

Dean... lets be honest here to a degree. You have convinced yourself that nothing is going to be worthy of the 34th pick except an o-lineman. Maybe a D-lineman.. but I get the feeling no matter how talented if the guy doesnt play O-line you will question the pick.

Not at all. I like Amaro, Fuller, Mosely, Ward, Roby, and Hageman.

All guys that will likely be long gone before we pick most likely. Hell I would like us to pick Clowney. LOL

As for guys who might be there at 34, I would prefer we pick on talent and long term possible impact. Not just on position and current perceived needs is all Im saying.

Amaro, Ward, Hageman, and Roby should be there. Mosely and Fuller is a stretch.

Agreed. How ever I think the desperation to take an O-lineman is more about the needs of now as apposed to long term. Face it, we still have young lineman that were drafted within the past two drafts that we really havent seen much of. We are no worse at the position than we were the last two years (RT in particular) And while Polumbus has not been an all pro, he is not a total slouch as some would portray him. Basically if we draft a RT at 34, we have got to cut Compton, Hurt and or Gettis. I know many will disagree, I just dont see the dire need to take an O-lineman high in the draft at the moment. I do still see a need at CB and WR. Hall and Porter are both a little long in the tooth. And we know we dont have much height at WR. Could also see a need at ILB. I think RT falls around 4th on the needs list actually. But deep down I fully expect them to take one, because if te FO is half as panic'd as the fan base, then they will over value the position to the exclusion of all else.

I agree and would add S to that list. If one of the top 2 falls to us, we need to seriously consider him.
