Should have also added this on Jake Browning in case anyone missed it.
QB Jake Browning could give UW football a jolt | Husky Football | The Seattle Times

“There’s a skill to be able to put the ball in a spot where it can almost not be dropped,” Folsom co-coach Troy Taylor had said only a few minutes earlier. “(Joe) Montana was like that, and Jake kind of has that ability.”
In his third season as Folsom’s starter, Browning has become the most accomplished quarterback in California history, having set the state records for passing yards (13,609 and counting) and career touchdown passes (181) this season. Browning, who signed a financial-aid agreement with UW last month, is chasing national passing records, too. Most notably, at his current pace, he would break the national touchdown-passing record of 219, held by current Missouri QB Maty Mauk from 2008 to 2011 for Kenton High in Ohio.

Not the tallest QB that will play in the Pac. Doesn't throw the ball as hard as some. Won't be much of a threat to run it.

But damn it if this kid isn't going to light up the conference with his incredible accuracy and insane decision making as well as his leadership.

Cypress (Calif.) cornerback/wide receiver Quinten Pounds announced his commitment to Washington at his high school. Washington has been recruiting him mainly as a wide receiver but defensive backs coach Jimmy Lake would like him to try cornerback as well.

He is the 16th commit to the 2015 class.

4-star all purpose back, Chico McClatcher (Federal Way, Wa) has the grades to be accepted to UW. He's cancelled his visit to Boise St. this weekend and visiting UW instead. All signs point to a commitment woof soon.

Petersen just busted out the Woof tweet.

JUCO Safety Ezekiel Turner (Los Angeles Pierce College), who had offers from ASU, Oklahoma, and Illinois, has committed to Washington this evening. Listed at 6-2 - 196, and should be able to get playing time right away during the 2015 season.

2nd year in a row we flip a Zona commit. RichRod is not pleased.

He's a great get for the Dline.

We're now at 19 commits for the class. Considering early exits, SRs, etc....were looking at a class of about 24-25 so we're getting close.

24 -25 would be good, this team needs more depth and players challenging the starters more

Class is filling out nicely, and hitting all the critical needs. Very well done by the coaching staff with their first full year to recruit a PAC class.

Huskies class is now ranked 26th at 247. Would love to see us crack the Top 20 before LOI, but still, the class is looking real solid.

Ezekiel Turner signed his letter of intent today and will start classes winter quarter. He's exactly the hard hitting tackle machine we need at the SS position next to Baker. Expect to see him integrated into the defense quickly and getting plenty of play time next fall.

3-star ATH Tevis Bartlett (Cheyenne, Wyoming) committied to Washington.

He had offers from Utah, Iowa, Oregon, Cal, Colorado, Colorado State, and Wyoming.

Played both QB and S position during games. Also a 3 time state champ at wrestling with a ridiculous 138-5 record.
He's expected to be groomed mainly as a OLB.

Jake Browning's Folsom absolutely demolished its opponent in the Div1 champ game tonight.

Folsom is 16-0, a national record 915 points, national TD pass record of 91,national career TD passes of 229.

And he arrives at UW in two weeks to start classes....

It's only his size and weight that would prevent him from being a true freshman starter. Shame, because I'd want to see this kid as early as possible in his college career. You just can't put him out there at this time though weighing like 185. He's going to need a full year of a top flight training program to bulk up without undermining his timing and throwing mechanics.

Can't wait to see him either way. I want to see that deep arm of his on display at HS.

Carta-Samuels will challenge Miles this year. Browning will redshirt 2015 and I'm fine with that. Will setup perfectly if he's the one for 2016. Excited to see what Samuels will do in spring.

Those are incredible stats by Jake Browning. Just hope he is not just another system QB though.

Watched a couple minutes of his film, obviously not enough to give a great analysis of him but two things that stand out to me are 1: He goes through his progressions very well. 2: Really nice touch on all of his passes.

4-star APB Austin Joyner (Marysville, WA) committed to Washington during the All-American game just a few minutes ago on tv. :suds:

His dad had mentioned that Oregon contacted them this week and tried to flip him. Said no and went Dawgs.

He's the Washington H.S. player of the year.

Austin and his parents during the announcement. Said the relationship with the UW coaches and the location near home sealed the deal. :suds:
