The lines were the worst part of Sark's recruiting over his tenure. Never did get that right. He can recruit the hell out of QB's. WR's, and RB's (TE's too of course), but Line? Not so much.

Such quality gets with the beef recruiting so far. Especially with the competition in the PAC now. To keep an Oline recruit when USC, UCLA, and especially Stanford offers? Serious wall action.

Go Dawgs!!!

Trust me, I'm always happen when UW picks up any major kid over other schools, but the reality is 'the fence' is a myth anymore. Didn't this kid say he always knew he wanted to be a dawg? Sounds like he was always leaning this way and after Petersen took over it solidified it, but he might have come here with any other HC.

I will be more impressed with Petersen if he can go into So Cal and steal a 4*+ kid from those schools.

And for the love of football, someone point Petersen back to our traditional island recruiting grounds please. Maybe no one can pronounce their names, but islanders belong at UW and Sark all but totally abandoned it. Sure, he got one or two, but we used to be stacked with island beef on both sides.

2015 commit QB Jake Browning has 22TDs in his first 3 games as a senior for Folsom H.S. in North Cali. Wow.

Chris Petersen was also spotted at friday's Lake Stevens / Marysville Pilchcuk high school game.

Another Woof! by Coach Petersen.

3-star ILB Ben Burr-Kirven (Atherton, CA) has commited to the Dawgs. :suds:

Known as a tackling machine. Smart kid too. Had offers from some Ivy League schools.

Looking at where we are right now, approaching the top 30 mark with the class, and projecting another strong finish again, I'm feeling confident that Washington can finish inside the top 30 this year. Another thing to remember is that player rankings get adjusted up or down one more time after the HS season completes.

Local studs WDE Benning Potoae and APB Chico McClatcher are both considered heavy leans to UW.

The class is looking real good so far.

Huskies morning links: Getting to know Jake Browning | Husky Football Blog | Seattle Times

I enjoyed getting the chance to watch Browning and the Bulldogs play two weeks ago in Green Valley, Calif. Browning had eight touchdown passes that game in a 63-6 victory. For the season, he’s thrown for 2,624 yards, 43 touchdowns and two interceptions. Teams have tried just about everything to slow down Browning; one team dropped 11 defenders into coverage

He’s also the Bulldogs’ punter. He’s punted twice in three years. And not once this season.

This kid is really unbelievable. Career 130 QB rating and will end up with the state record for TD's and several other categories.
