247 has our class ranked at 47 as it sits right now. Add either of those other big dogs out there and it jumps another 10 at least. Scout has us at 40.

Both those sites have different rating scales for certain things so doesn't shock me. But nationally we make the 30s with 6 weeks to put this all together. Beyond impressive. Outstanding work in short period of time. Yes, way better than what Sark was able to do in 2009. But slightly different circumstances of course.

But still. What a job by the staff so far.

Our D really started clicking this year. One of the best in the PAC. Agree that 2 years from now, could be one of the premiere Ds in the nation.

It will be interesting to see the impact if Petersen and staff install some of these younger guys into the mix right away, a lot of blown coverages, but some big time plays could very well off set the bad stuff...

As much press as his offenses got when the had Moore, Petersen has built his teams around solid defenses and I can't wait to see what they do with what Wilcox left them. That wasn't a dumpster fire as it was, but is projecting to keep going up and up. 40+ points by Oregon? Nope, don't think so anymore.

Boy that silence assassin nickname for Petersen is no joke, some of the guys he's flipping it doesn't even appear Sark was talking to.

I think this really has to silence a lot of concerns about his recruiting ability. Even if the class ended as it currently is, without Baker or McGary he did a pretty good job considering that Sark left the cabinet pretty empty.

Plus, I have faith in some of these 3 prospects Petersen has landed. At BSU he showed great scouting ability putting together some great teams despite not having many 4 star prospects.

Comparing the class that Sark put together his first year and the one Petersen has put together it looks like Petersen's is already clearly better even if he didn't land anyone else.

Was just watching a highlight tape of Baker's and man, he is one hell of an athlete. He honestly looks like he could play S,CB,KR or HB at the Pac-12 level.

Sark did walk into the smoking crater that Ty left, especially on D, which was a harder dynamic to deal with, along with him not being able to move a bunch of USC commits over here, but still, that subject is ancient history in the world of football. Over. Done.

Also nice to hear that our DL commit Will Dissly was named to the parade all American team and he's the first out of Montana to achieve that.

I think this really has to silence a lot of concerns about his recruiting ability. .

You know everytime I see a comment about what others say about Petersen and is ability to recruit, I just want to write there name down when Petersen's time is done here and the Dawgs are on the National stage year in and year out I want to remind those double dip shits of there stupid comments early on....


I'm old, and my teams have had multiple coaching changes, but I have never ever been this frickn giddy over head coach and to actually feel like as a fan, that get ready cause he's coming and opening a can of serious beat down.....

Yeah, we sure weren't that excited over even James when he first came. He had a great reputation, but coming from Kent State wasn't exactly a real confidence booster that he could bring the team back to winning after the decline of the Owens era before he left. Didn't take long for James to earn our love and devotion, but it wasn't instant like Petersen is getting. I think we all expect a lot out of this team right out of the gate. And rightfully so.

I'll be at work, but you can bet I'll have KJR going and I'll be waiting for that one. Still think he is likely to go UCLA with an outside chance at USC, but with all the recent pick ups we have to like our chances more.

1:00 pm I mean granted I will be sitting at work doing nothing that day ( sure as hell made sure I had nothing scheduled to interfere with signing day) now he's gonna make us wait that long???

This kid better turn out to be the next great safety of all time for the Dawgs and that's big shoes cause we have had some greatones....

There are over 25 4 and 5 star kids who are waiting till wednesday as well. Budda Baker is one of Top 10 still undecided. It will be a massive feather in our cap to land him on LOI to put the finishing touches on a class that's really done well.

I really think he picks UW. Will be a nice finish to recruiting season and now the coaches can start really getting to work on the game plans and conditioning.
