What the hell happened to his nephew? Was he actually drowning and someone else saved him? Or was his life never in danger?

LOL ... I'm sure the Oregon, Stanford and UCLA's boards are lit up with this one ... along with the other PAC12s.

This is karma for all the shit SC fans gave us over the Te'o fiasco.

It appears he made up the whole 'rescue' story.

What I wanna know is .... why??? Was he covering something up?

I'm hearing that he was climbing to break into his ex-girlfriend's apartment which was two or three stories high and either fell or jumped off to avoid police. Who knows.

It seems likely that he injured his ankles doing something stupid and didn't want to have to tell his coaches and teammates.

Moral of the Story: If you ever mess up a little and are going to try to hide the truth, don't make up a story that's going to be on national news making you look like a goddamn hero.

For the record, this particular USC fan defended Te'o from day 1.:suds:

All I have to say is 'huh'? And no matter what he says after that 'hahaha'. At least he won't probably have to use dead fake online girlfriend. Maybe he is Spiderman and the damn web broke. :noidea:

I've been in the PF for too long TF12 ... with all the shit going on over there, I'm in 'conspiracy mode' 24/7.

Seriously. I can understand that young people do some really stupid things . . but holy hell - why would you want to call so much attention to it?:wtf2:

Haha ... knowing you, I have no doubt. :suds:

But, I'm here to tell ya ... us Domers got our asses beat over that fiasco ... and the SC fans were the worst (EPSN boards). We're still taking shit over it ... as you can tell just by this thread. :sigh:

I've read some books about human nature. People who are con artists or lie all the time, tend to keep the lies short and blurry. Regular people ( and kids) who find themselves in an unfamiliar bad situation and try to get out of it by lying tend to get caught by giving way too much information that doesn't add up under further scrutiny. I figured that out when my now teenage son gave some long ass story about something broken or why he was late from school. Odds were the longer the story , he wasn't telling the truth.
Don't know if anyone brought this up since ND fans are getting a giggle out of this. Shaw said this (the pool and nephew part) happened in Palmdale. Isn't that were Manti's imaginary gf lived ? I smell a conspiracy.lol

I don't remember ... for some reason Palmdale doesn't ring a bell. I thought she 'lived' in/near Palo Alto up north? Or was that the homo Roniah's place?

And .... yeah ... you know I'm laughing over this! Yall gave us enough shit back in the ESPN days.

Hey ... whatever happened to DocFaustus and the other USC trolls? I know there were tons of yall, but I can only remember you & Doc. :suds:

GO IRISH!!!!

For some reason I feel bad for this kid. He probably was doing something stupid and hurt himself......... I guess at least he is optimistic in that he tried to spin it into a positive story. He was probably playing leapfrog with his 300 pound 6'5, 9 year old nephew and didn't clear. Broken ankles.....face plant.
