Lol, you are the one that keeps moving the goal posts to pretend you found some team that fits some criteria you made up. If it makes you feel better that Washington beat some 8-5 Boise State team that was ranked some time during the season, good for you. The rest of us know that Washington's record against ranked OOC opponents is shit.
I'm just flowing your guidelines....When you have to add multiple stipulations to suit an agenda. It is not a stat. It would be a reach. Not sure why you are fixated on Washington when the topic is USC joining the FCS bake sale tho.....

The real question is would you like to buy a UC Davis cupcake?

You mean your interpretation of them...if you really wanted to argue the guidelines, you could have jumped into either of the first two threads where AG posted his drivel...where I erroneously thought this topic was discussed ad nauseum. I was more interested in just beating him over the head with the updated number. Which is currently 6520 and counting. The only people who would argue any ranking other than EOY when discussing past seasons, are trying to sell you something.

I have no issues with you playing UC Davis, or Arkansas St or Utah St or any of the 30 high school team wins you add to your win total. I only take issue with the Pac-12 fans that think their schedule is somehow superior because they play more P5 teams...or don't play any FCS.

Not sure about you but I'm not about to spend my time worrying about what Washington's doing. @Wamu is right we're new to the cupcake game. Gotta focus on getting more in the oven :gaah:

If you have to resort to “we play more conference games” that’s worse than nut hugging.

And AG is the biggest conference nut swinger, maybe ever.

You'll never see me defend AG.

That and they were playing those same FCS level teams before the split.

Yep. Those West Coast folks from the Pacifier League have to have the obvious spelled out to them. And sometimes they still fail to grasp it.
Now that's funny right there. Even left coasters have to admit that!

Clay Helton is 6-7 vs ranked opponents
Kirby Smart is 7-7 vs ranked opponents

Does this mean you consider Helton and Smart are on the same level ? Numbers and shifting goal posts is fun .......

Thread needs more cupcakes imo

My argument is if you schedule Minn or Boston College or Syracuse five for six years ahead then there is a chance they could be decent by then or at least have some NFL players at key spots. But if you schedule Citadel, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga or Towsend there's no chance you will find a heartbeat ever.
Not happy about this scheduling and it either wont happen or no one will show and force them to never do it again. How a team can schedule two of these kinda teams every and their fan base be ok with it is beyond me. Better things to do (at least here) than watch and spend money on that kinda game.

Yes put think about some of the Power 5 teams. If you schedule Duke, Wake Forest, Indiana, Syracuse, Vandy, Baylor, Rutgers, Iowa State, Washington State, etc. You expect that these teams most years will suck ass. If you schedule teams like Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, etc. You expect those teams will be tough opponents.

90% of the time you would be correct. USC knew that Minnesota and Syracuse would probably not be good based on their program trajectory and history but it was a way to brag about having a Power 5 team on their schedule, even if that Power 5 team would probably struggle to finish in the upper half of Conf USA.

Are they real ranked opponents or are they on fictitious “end of year” rankings that don’t actually exist?

Now you got it. If one is not including bowls the "end of year rankings" "angle is nonsense. You get a cupcake :suds:

Exactly, since you were the only one not including bowl games in the ranking we are agreed, it was nonsense.
