As you know, it isn't like they all get in a room, do a preliminary vote, make adjustments and then come out with the poll. The two teams both made huge changes ... just so happened to leave them on position off. It will adjust ... if VaTech is as good as they appear, they will be top 10. If OSU is as bad as they appear, the will drop out of the poll. Deep breath, everyone, including me.No it was totally because of the preseason, and 1st week poll. If you notice Ohio St was the biggest fall dropping 11 spots from #7 to #18, and Virginia tech was the biggest rise jumping 19 spots from #38 to #19. For some reason the Coaches were just stubborn, and not willing to move Ohio St or Virginia Tech that 1 last spot to get a common sense ranking of Virginia Tech ahead of Ohio St.
18. Ohio State
19. Virginia Tech
...makes sense
A&M made a nice jump, their problem is they won't play a good team for another month. So, I'll assume they've stalled for now. But with 5 SEC teams in the top 10 cannibalization is inevitable.
