I'd like to hear the reasoning/logic behind that OSU/ VT ranking. That's freaking ridiculous.

The explanation is expecting coaches to know games outside of their own conference/schedule has never been a good measure of how good teams are. How can they know shit about a team they haven't faced or ever seen?

I agree, but at least check the scores and records. I mean, that's an easy one. VT beats OSU by 2 TD's in OSU's house. VT 2-0, OSU1-1.

What is your apparent hard on for FSU? Between you and another to not be named damn man. Y'all played SD last week and nobody bitched. Almost every single school in the nation this week played a bs team. Minus 4 games. So again what is the problem?

Now to be completely frank FSU does not need to be #1 in any poll until later in the season once they get their shit together. It seems to have gone to their heads.

My guess is a lot of the coaches voting just knew VT had won and didn't understand they dictated most of the game and didn't win on some freak play or the like.

No it was totally because of the preseason, and 1st week poll. If you notice Ohio St was the biggest fall dropping 11 spots from #7 to #18, and Virginia tech was the biggest rise jumping 19 spots from #38 to #19. For some reason the Coaches were just stubborn, and not willing to move Ohio St or Virginia Tech that 1 last spot to get a common sense ranking of Virginia Tech ahead of Ohio St.

My problem with this is that the poll is an aggregate of all the coaches,in order to get this result there was probably several coaches that had VT ranked way above tOSU...but an even larger number that had tOSU still ranked significantly above VT....They walk among us...

i'm guessing you didn't have auburn ranked #1 the first few weeks of the 2011 season.

couldn't you use the same logic to say auburn should be #2 until someone beats them because they reached the national title game, almost won it, and finished the season #2?

Auburn had lost their Heisman QB and their team had been gutted in 2011. Not so with FSU. As far as Auburn being ranked #2 right now, what the hell? You're #2. Congrats.
