LeBron only played with one superstar, Wade. Bosh was really good but not that, neither was Love or Kyrie.
But again, unprovable and mostly depends on your personal definition of "superstar"

Love was a 2 time all NBA pick, averaged 26 and 13, had led the NBA in rebounds and could shoot the 3 and like Bosh, also won a gold medal for Team USA, which is why Cleveland gave up multiple #1 overall picks to get him.

My question is -- since Pippen never won anything without Jordan. Does that mean he isn't a superstar?

Bosh went to 11 straight all star games. Won a gold medal with Team USA at the Olympics. And finished his career averaging 20 and 8.5.

When he joined James and Wade -- he was one of the best bigs in the league. I believe he was 2nd team All-NBA the year before he went to Miami.

How many superstars do you think are playing today?

It's up to you what a superstar is. Who are the superstars today?

Also Jordan never won anything without Pippen, so....

Ok yes AD but nothing happened yet there LOL

Can't call someone a superstar "on offense". A superstar is an MVP candidate. He's not

Then Jordan never played with a superstar as Pippen was never a MVP candidate.

I guess not. Although being on MJ's team was probably more the reason why he didn't get a lot of MVP votes.

I stand by the claim that the 1996-1998 Bulls team had far better talent around Jordan than LeBron's Cavs teams had around him.

Are you ever going to answer my question? Who do you consider the superstars today?

I'd say there are 15-20 superstars in the NBA right now. As you said -- it is more opinion based than anything.

Harden is a 'superstar', but I'd rather have guys like Klay Thompson, Paul George, Jimmy Butler -- guys who are great on both ends of the floor than Harden, who thinks defense is optional.

It is all opinion based in the end.

Exactly. 15-20 seems high to me, since there's the term 'superstar' and the term 'star'. To me (all opinion like you said) there has to be less than 10 SUPERstars in the league each year. Maybe 5-6?

So today would be LeBron, AD, Curry, Harden, Kawhi, Durant, maybe Lillard, maybe Westbrook

Yeah -- that's all it is -- how we label certain tiers of players.

It is utterly ridiculous to say these guys aren't stars in the NBA.

Nice try.

I never said they weren't stars. In fact, I said they were stars.

You said they were superstars. I said they weren't.

There is a difference between a star and a superstar.

Lebron and Wade are superstars. Bosh, Love and Kyrie are not.

Yes he was. He was an MVP candidate when MJ was playing baseball.

So does that mean Bosh was an MVP candidate? And Kevin Love was an MVP candidate? Like Pippen -- they finished in the top 10 in MVP voting before joining up with Lebron.

Apparently a superstar is anyone who plays with Lebron.

Obviously that isn't the case or he wouldn't be 3-6 in NBA finals.

But guys like Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and Kyrie Irvin are. That is why they have 36 all-star game appearances between them, 8 gold medals and 4 bronze medals.

Love AVERAGED 26 and 13 at 25 years old when he was traded to Cleveland.

Bosh AVERAGED 24 and 11 at 26 years old when he signed to play with Lebron.

Kyrie Irvin was already an all star at 21 averaging 23 and 6 assists when Lebron joined him in Cleveland.

Dwayne Wade is Dwayne Wade.

There are a reason they call these 'super teams'. It is because they are putting together 3 superstars.

Not an angel like Kobe was for sure...

Players like Kobe and Jordan -- they cared more about winning than making friends. They step on their own momma's neck to score if it meant winning the game.

That is the one thing Lebron doesn't have -- that 'it factor' or killer instinct.

If I wanted my son to watch a superstar as a role model -- Id make them watch how Lebron patterns his life.

If I wanted my son to be a win at cost egomaniac -- Id have him watch Jordan or Kobe. But that is what made them as good as they were.
