Moorhead State is a well coached team. They had 20 wins last year, and they returned 4 starters i believe. The Rebels returned no starters. Chris Wood looked like crap to me. He had a couple dunks, but hw makes a bad play and takes the time to act out how upset he is instead of staying with the play.
Rebels were down by 11 at one point and it was as ugly as ugly gets. They tweaked the line up a bit and Kendal Smith came off the bench and played great at the point. They fought back and won, which a good sign, that they didnt just give up.
Also missing at least FUCKING 10 free throws was a killer. If they dont straighten that out, they will be in for a long season.
Houston State is another 23 win team from last season, it wont be an easy task either. The schedule only gets tougher.
Looks like they still dont know exactly who they need to start and bring in off the bench yet. If Wood is going to pout about bullshit on the floor, he needs to be sent the message by coming off the bench. I hate to be too hard on college kids, they arent pros, but damn it was so obvious to me.

Yeah its still there. I think he made a deal with the city to make it some type of historical landmark cause he was going to loose it. They did a bunch upgrading to the property a few years ago.

They have Doolin on the radio out here today. That kid is sharp, and he really gets it. With an actual PG they might a shot to get better as things go on. Stanford is going to be a very tough game, and then most likely Duke right after, and in New York. This is a very young team, and I dont really see them winning either game. It doesnt get easier either. They AZ State, AZ, and Kansas in January. If they win every game they are supposed to, and get one or two upsets, i consider the season a huge success and they may still make the tourney. They might need to win the MWC tourney too.

The schedule is just brutal. I really respect UNLV for it and I'm looking forward to those games. Rice is one hell of a recruiter but obviously a bit of a question mark in terms of his coaching. Good luck, Rebs. I really like your program and really enjoy watching your team play. I would like to see you do well this year.
