Alright I know I questioned Rice at the helm earlier in the season, but seriously at this point with the record and youth does anyone feel he can take them to the next level???

Simple answer NO! At least not this season.

I have been loosing faith in Rice for awhile now which sucks because I really really want him to succeed and I want to like him being the HC but he is shitting the bed more times than not. That being said I think you have to give him a few more seasons and see what this team he has recruited has become. The major red flag will be if this team still sucks next season, if this team isn't in the top 3 or 4 of the MWC and in the discussion for top 25 then there is something major wrong.

He can recruit great players but he doesn't turn them into great teams, at least not yet. Recruiting isn't everything.

Like i sadi before, dont forget that coach was being crucified at Duke when he first started. His record there was shit compared to Rice's record to this point in their careers. I cant just say he cant coach. Who else are we going to get for $400,000 a year, thats going to be anything but marginally better?

Just for fun and curiosity I took at look at the top 10 recruiting rankings of 2014 and what their records are for this season this is what they are:

#1 Duke: 20-3
#2 Kentucky: 23-0
#3 UNC: 18-6
#4 Kansas: 19-4
#5 UNLV: 13-10
#6 Arizona: 20-3
#7 UCLA: 14-10
#8 Ohio State: 17-6
#9 Florida: 12-11
#10 Louisville: 19-4

Since Rice took over we have not had a terrible recruiting class yet. Including 2 top 5 recruiting classes. Of course not one player from the 2012 top 5 recruiting class is still on the team.

It's depth, that is what lacking with this team, ( and the frickn cold streaks in shooting)
There bench isn't that deep, or the simple fact they have someone that could come off and take over a game....

Anyone know if there's any truth to that & if so will that jackass Steve Wynn have his shit-hole casino's (okay they're not really shit-hole's, I just don't like Wynn) participate?
