Anybody going to watch? Mini Series starts tonight.

I read the book when it came out. One of Mr King's better novels of late.

However I am a huge Stephen King fan. I like everything he puts out.

Will watch.

He originally started on the book 20+ years ago and it was titled Cannibals. Then that Soccer team crashed and ate each other so he changed the story. Took him several years to re think the premise of the story.

*Butt Hurt PC crowd

Yes, he had the idea before the Simpsons movie...:L

It looks pretty good. Odds are I will wait until it becomes available on Netflix, so I can watch them all in a row and not have to wait each week.

I realize it's normal for screenwriters to take a few liberties with the story...and i'm usually totally fine with that but holy shit NOTHING was the same as the book (except the characters names and the fact that there was a dome) i guess i'll just have to force myself to enjoy the TV story separate from the book story.

did anyone else watch?

lol...the funny thing is i am really not a member of that crowd....besides it's way too early to say which story is better, just that they are completely different from each other and as a fan of the book i was a little disappointed by that

i will be watching the series in it's entirety

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StdpKu50sZg]UNDER THE DOME FIRST LOOK Official Trailer [HD] - YouTube[/ame]

Finally just watched the pilot on Amazon Prime and I'm intrigued. Some of the characters are grating, but the story is solid. Will watch the next episode. Anyone else caught up on Season 2 of the series?

The cow scene was amazing.

I watch, but mainly because there is nothing else on this time of year. The story is convoluted to the point where their weekly twists don't mean anything since the foundation does not exist.

The cow scene was decent, but they show it EVERY episode in the "previously, on Under the Dome" opening sequence.

Overall, I would give it a 4/10, max.

Spoiler....

Sucks that they killed the hottest chick on the show, but kept the forehead around.

This guy is so grating. What's the deal with his facial expressions?

Also, how many times did the lesbian couple say "our daughter" in the pilot?

Going to watch episode 2 now.

I watch more for entertainment when I have time. Never watch it live. Definitely not high quality but it's decent.

S2 has been an improvement wth more and more mysteries at least.
