Here is a cool little charge that shows the player comparisons between the two... I do wish they showed targets though but I don't think they tracked that back in Largents days... Seemed like Largent was targeted 8-10 times a game...

Yeah he had to be targeted 8-10 times a game, well I mean he was the #1 on the team for a LONG time. What Lockett does on less targets is amazing, he makes every catch count that's for sure.

This just in, the 49rs have made a trade for Lockett! We’re now going live to ESPN SportsHoopla to hear from Montalban …. “ @$&@&&! Yes !!!! Locket the rocket welcome aboard! Go 49rs !!! Eff off you Seahawk @(@@iches !! “
A lot of whining from a Niners fan.

Doesn't say much for the Seahawk franchise if a mediocre receiver like him is the best they've ever had
Hey buddy, wanna compare team vs team all time?

Lockett is currently 5th alltime Seahawks receptions list with 433. He is currently only 8 catches from Darrell Jackson (441) for #4, 60 behind Angry Doug (493) for #3, and 148 behind Brian Blades (581) for #2. So he could possibly move into #2 in late next year, or relatively early the year after barring injury or other circumstances.

He still has 382 to equal Largent (815).

His catch rate of 71.9% listed in the link below is telling as it is higher than anyone else on the list. But that stat wasn't tracked back then so Largent's isn't listed.

Thank god for Lockett! He seems to be the one guy everyone can be proud of this year!

When I changed my avatar/profile pic for this season I had Lockett chosen. I switched over to KJ because I didn't want to jinx Lockett. Yeah I am weird that way and 100% believe in karma!

Also when KJ signed with the Raiders it was like a way to show a very under valued and a very under rated player some respect. KJ did it special and doesn't get the praise he deserves. One of the greatest outside linebackers in Seahawks history in my eyes. I seriously would give the Hawks +2 in the win column with KJ on this team. I think he makes a play or a stop or tells people like he ALWAYS did what's coming. Picking off Tannehill is almost a gimme lol *win*.

Crazy how D. Jackson has 179 more targets than Lockett but only 3 more receptions... He and Galloway's catch% was awful... And we got (1) 1st rounders for him... :D

Different times, but Galloway's catch % wasn't good. From that list neither was Koren Robinson's. Lockett is miles ahead of those guys.

That receiving corps had the worst case of the drops. Some good receivers those year with Hasselbeck, but they all had issues from time to time dropping the ball.

Yeah, surprisingly we’ve beat them twice this year which I didn’t expect, for whatever reason we’re always a tough matchup for them ..
It's just one of those things Hawks beat up on the Niners but have problems against the Rams. Very strange.

True…. Rams getting AD had been a pain in the arse for us, especially with our sub par O-lines over the years …

Come on! Just cause he's got 16 sacks, 63 tackles, 24 TFL and 43 QB hits in 16 games against Seattle doesn't mean he's even a blip on the radar

Seriously, though - dude loves playing Seattle. Dominates the Seahawks more than any other team - which is saying a lot with how much he dominates everyone. Donald's a first ballot HoFer.

On a side note - nearly 20% of all of his QB hits are against Russ (43 of 229, though Geno may have been hit, I don't remember).

Gloves vs no gloves back then makes it hards to compare hands. The gloves make it whole lot easier to make the tough catches.

The role that friction plays in catching a football cannot be overstated.

Run and slide on a shiny hardwood floor in your bare feet.

Now try that at your gym on the rubber mats.

The only reason those gloves are even permitted is because they allow WRs to make catches that they wouldn't otherwise make ... because anything to enhance the offense and the casual fan's enjoyment. I also read that they track stats for 1-handed catches now. What a dumb thing to promote.. outside of a highlight reel. Just what a team needs.. their WRs attempting unnecessary 1-handers.
