Two tanks battle it out in the desert: TEX v ARI 9/7 & 8

I triple checked the schedule and I actually have it correct this time.

The D-Bags are currently 2nd in the 2022 Draft Standings, with the beloved Rangers sitting 4th. Best case scenario is that TEX loses both, but who knows? The Rangers have the worst road record in the AL and second worst in MLB. The D-Bags have the worst home record in the NL and second worst in MLB. Texas is running out Howard and Arihiara, two dudes with 6+ ERAs. Howard will hopefully prove that JD didn't make the worst trade in franchise history. If the Rangers are serious about tanking then we should see a healthy amount of Sborz and Santana this series.

I hope he does well because he cost a king's ransom to acquire. But I'm not really a fan of all this coddling he apparently needs.

Do not support coddling but I do believe he was rushed and perhaps he needs a reset which is what the Rangers are trying to do. Personally I think he needs a restart probably at AAA but the Rangers trying it here with these 3 innings bits

coddled or not maybe he can be moved as a part of an even better piece. This off-season is not only about free agency but also the trade market

Can't say I'm thrilled with that idea. He would be a tack-on in any trade package, and considering what we gave up for him, that would be an unmitigated disaster to trade him off so quickly.

With the Blue Jays having Reese McGuire I wonder if we could acquire catcher Alejandro Kirk from them.

The way we acquired Napoli and Hamilton was awesome. Hoping we can get a couple of big bats the same way.
