True but that was the COVID year and it would get them desperately needed playing time when there was no minor league season. I think they need a season of AAA playing time this season and then next season we start with ST with the intent of all 4 being on the 25-man opening day roster.

Holt and Culbertson will be free agents and we could clear several pitchers from the 40. That opens maybe 5 or 6 spots for adding and starts the build-up

Hate to see Calhoun injury. Not sure if 60 day is In order Does look like Terry is a roster addition at some point do realize we are not halfway yet. Definitely not opposed to moving guys especially a vet and yes Jung clan use more seasoning and really not hurting Leody keeping him down for now. Just a lot of tough decisions as we evolve the roster incrementally

Probably but after further research I find we have 8 on the 60 day IL and we added 8 so right now with the 8 on the 60 we have 48 on the 40-man. I can count 8 we should lose at the end of the season counting Dahl.

Yep, the 3 veterans we signed are placeholders with the hope one or more will be worth trading by the time we have a prospect to replace them. A lot like Frazier and Cabrera were.

It is no big deal though. It was your opinion at the time and that is fine. There are always going to be various opinions as to when young guys should be brought up. It is a difficult subject to have total agreement on.

It really, really seems that this team has much more than its share of injuries to good prospects. I have been following this team's minor league system since the 70s and I have never seen anything like what has gone on here over the past 5 to 10 years or so.

And it's not just pitchers and UCLs any longer. It is several position players and things like hamate bones, stress fractures, blood clots, and ulcerative colitis. Can another rash of TOS be far behind?
