Kirk Cousins tried to do something nice for Vikings fans and it immediately backfired

In case you don't want to click the link, Cousins was offering to give away a signed jersey, football or mini-helmet and asked what else Vikings fans would want him to give away. Here are some replies:

Give yourself away to another team!

Some of that CAP SPACE

Roughly $84 million

You had enough giveaways during the season, we don’t need anymore

Good. Either grow a set and at least sort of live up to your contract, or become known as the biggest loser to ever receive such an absurd mega deal in the history of the league.

I wouldn’t mind a signed cousins jersey. He’s my favorite Vikings player. The day the Vikings signed him was the 2nd happiest day of last offseason as a bears fan.

Yeah really. Cousins obviously hasn't lived up to his contract but it's as if they are completely unaware of how Case Kenum was far worse last year. I get the dollars involved but it's not like Cousins was their only problem, with Kenum or a guy like Tyrod Taylor they would have been a 5 win team.

Vikings go 2-14 with Keenum.

What a bunch of fucking losers. Dude completed 70% of his passes with 30 TD and 10 INTs this season, and was top 10 in basically every QB metric. He wasn't the problem.

Breh... I've said numerous times that Keenum is definitely worse than Cousins.
Then appreciate the difference.

How many games is Cousins supposed to win by himself just because he was a high priced free agent?

Seriously??

at LA Rams: 72% comp, 422 yards, 3 TD/0 INT - Vikings lose 38-31

at Philly: 81% comp, 301 yards, 1 TD/0 INT - Vikings win 23-21

vs. New Orleans: 76% comp, 359 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT - Vikings lose 30-20

Only game he was really bad was at New England. His 2nd game against Chicago and at Seattle weren't great, but he didn't turn the ball over and had 2 TDs on 60% comp in those two games combined. He was also dominant against Detroit and GB in the division. They missed the playoffs because of an inconsistent defense and a bad rush offense.

Football is a team game. When the QB plays well and the team loses, it's clearly on someone else.

Who knew QBs that have beautiful stats in garbage time get so much love on the hoop. This is a startling revelation. My opinion of this site is now lower.

Against playoff teams last year (at LAR, at NE, vs. NO, 2x vs Chi, at Phi, at Sea), Cousins threw 11 TDs. Two of them were in garbage time.

That would make your post, well, garbage.
