I dunno, PC...there's a bunch of guys in Baseball history with similar stats. to Morris not in the Hall. Look at what Bert went through and he had much better stats. Tough call, for sure.

I'm on the fence about Barry Larkin. Once again, lots of guys in history with outstanding careers who didn't get in. Who's next.. Nicky P., Chuck Knoblach??

The voters absolutely make McGwire the "whipping-boy" of steroid use by reducing his ballots and then increase those of Raphael Palmeiro. What's with that?? If steroids are the determination for McGwire's disgrace, and remember, he never lied about using them, then Bonds, Sousa, Clemens, and Palmeiro, to name a few, absolutely must be disgraced as well. These 4-guys are a pariah to the game.

In my mind, the Hall of Fame is not as hallowed as it once was. In any event, I won't lose any sleep over it, even if Nicky & Chuck get in....

Didn't work! I took a picture and then looked for the insert button. The only one I could find was the one I had tatooed on my beautiful bride, Lena, just below her waist-line (I was advised by my friends to do this so I wouldn't forget what to do on my honeymoon night.) Anyways, the picture never appeared so I then pasted it over her "insert button", again with no success. What gives?

Jack Morris should definately be in the Hall of Fame, he pitched the most impressive pitching performance in baseball history given the circumstances. Maybe the stats are questionable, but that one game is enough to tip the scales in my book.
Old school baby, there's a bunch of mlb crybabys that could take a much needed lesson from that man.

The mild weather here has been hard on the ice fishing with open water in many places and fish houses dumping through the ice everywhere.
This week the big Ice Fishing Extravaganza on Gull was postponed to Feb. due to lack of ice. Hopefully there is enough ice then, because that event is a good time!

MLB network showed that game the other day with Costas interviewing Morris and Smoltz throughout the replay. It was pretty cool to hear their thoughts on the game.

Yeah, I'm pulling for the Pats. I've been a Tom Brady fan since 2002 when the young kid won the Superbowl. Hope to see them put all the Tebow hype to bed this weekend.

I don't even necessarily dislike Tebow, but he is not even an average quarterback. I'm glad I am not a Broncos fan, because they are going to have to deal with this short window of success Tebow is experiencing for the next few years with unfulfilled anticipation.

jrs- No fishing report...the day of the trip was so windy that the boat didn't sail, the few that did had to come back and some called for assistance. We'll try again in a few weeks but it's always a problem getting everyone together on these 2-day trips. Glad I don't own the boat!

Don't like Tebow? I wonder why?, (sarcasm) as an old farmer would say, "He couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a shovel!" BUT...anything is possible, or so they say.

PC - I watched Morris' victory, and that was big, I'll give you that, but I got goosebumps when I saw Hulk Hogan body-slam Andre the Giant and then pin him! Mano y mano in the squared circle...nowhere to hide! A lot of people are saying that baseball is fake and I'm beginning to agree with some of them. jrs....can I get a witness on this one??

That would be cool ap. I haven't heard anything for sure on that but just did a quick search and saw that the Twins might be bidding for 2014 too.
