If cfb only matters to 4 schools every year, we should just shut this forum down, except for Clemson, Bama, Oky and ohio.

We should all stop watching games on Saturday because only a couple teams matter.

We should stop tailgating, attending games because they just don’t matter.

Heck, since the games and dozens of teams every year don’t matter, they should just drop cfbprograms.

If it doesn’t matter, you’re telling me NU football games havent mattered for how many years? Since the last time y’all played for the Natty or only the years NU stacked NC trophies...

Of course it matters. Our states and schools take great pride in winning the conference and even more winning the Rose Bowl.

You got it. Because watching the Sea of Red on TV lends me to believe cfb always matters even when an NU team has a couple of losses going into games, or watching the fans fill a third of visiting stadiums with red even though they don’t have a chance at the CFP.

We sell out spring games of 90k following a 4-8 season ..... and yes that is games plural lol yea football always matters here We love our huskers win or lose (obviously prefer the win, and prefer the loss to be because the opposing team is just that much better not our own deficiencies/mistakes)

I don’t think Oregon can reach the CFP this year, very much a long shot, and getting there wouldn’t be a good outcome for the Ducks this season.

But UO has games vs UW, WSU, OSU, and USC still remaining that very much matter to our fans.

For years I looked forward to NU fans coming to Autzen. It didn’t disappoint. Lots of red in those stands. More opposing fans than Ive ever seen at a game there, and I’ve been to nearly every home game for 25 years. Lots of good people. We had fun drinking brew with them.

Yep the Husker Faithful is part of the Nebraska Cornhusker tradition, it isnt just our history of being a good/great team, our willingness to travel has helped us pull better bowls too (sometimes to our detriment when we have no business being in a higher tier game against a much better foe)

I cant wait until the ship is completely righted and we are making more positive gains. Still dealing with the horrible culture that really started in early/mid 00's with HWSNBN then the ridiculous admin and coaching that we just got rid of, they literally let players not do workouts and not lift weights... the culture hasnt even been a shell of itself it has been nonexistent.

There are clear steps being made to reinstating it, some people say year 3 i am skeptical and think it will be year 4 before i am confident that the product we put on the field is something i can be proud of that represents what Nebraska Football has been for much of our history.
