As far as I'm concerned the Red Wings are the team to beat. Everybody is healthy & Hudler is back. Look out NHL.

So my guess would be Vancouver tomorrow and Washington last, or I guess that would be first.

yeah I dont like being top 2 at all in their list. I dont think we are I think we are probably in the 5 to 6 spot in the NHL. Malhotra and Torres makes me happier that they are in the bottom 6 but Im still not impressed with our Depth at forward. I said it before if guys like Tanner Glass are in our Bottom 6 we will win 2 things Jack and Shit...... and Jack left town

I just don't get how you can still put Chicago that high. I mean, they lost a lot of their role players and the goalie that held them together in the postseason. I mean, I'm sure Turco can play well, but he's not the player he once was.

I just don't know how Cullen can put Phoenix at number 8 - I think I read that they won 19 games via the shootout last season. That's going to be very difficult to replicate. Plus I look at that team and while they have some good players (Doan, Wolski) and Bryz is a great goalie, the rest is pretty much meh.

/I mean, I don't think they're much better than Calgary and Calgary is 14 spots lower at 22...

I think Carolina is a playoff team & they're ranked 23rd. We'll see how these rankings hold up througout the season.

so far the big misses on the board (imho) are:
Calgary, Pittsburgh (too low), and
Phoenix, Chicago (too high)

Buffalo and Vancouver are also moderately too high.
your mileage may vary.

St. Louis is an interesting one...I don't see them as that high, but in looking at the roster, they certainly have a shot. But, in that division, I don't see them finishing above 7-8th out west.

Late checking into this one. I had Kings 5th in the West. I thought Vancouver, Chicago, Detroit and SJ would be above them just in the West. I am now hopeful that the Kings will open the playoffs at home. That would be huge.
