There was a report a day or two ago about Foles taking a small lead on Trubisky in the QB competition. It was noted that Trubisky continues to show the accuracy and decisiveness issues he always has.
After the reports that he's in great shape and more focused coming into this season, considering the same problems are still showing, it's time to stick a fork in him. If Trubisky was going to take a step, he would have done it already this being his 3rd year in the offense with a rapport already built with his teammates. In other words, for Trubisky to have won the job, he likely had to come out of the blocks hot and look like a new man, which hasn't happened.
Foles to start, Trubisky to back him up. I guess if there's any hope left at all for Trubisky after that it's that some miracle happens after having sat on the bench for some number of games watching Foles (hopefully) run the offense to an acceptable level.
