Brouwer is going to be Laich's replacement.

I kind of agree but hope both end up as Caps.

Maybe not run and gun, but certainly more of a transition offense as opposed to a team that can control the puck down low. It's why the Lightning essentially playing the trap were able to completely shut them down. You need the big bodied grinders to get it done. Just look at the Bruins top line.

Come on man relax. My run and gun comment earlier was completely inaccurate I will admit that, but your offense relies heavily on the transition game. If you are not getting the break out passes you can't score. A grinder will help. This is a good move for you guys. If you disagree that is fine, but I think you guys are taking a step in the right direction.

Its only a good move if Liach ends back in DC. If not, then its a downgrade

Btw, there is still PLENTY of cap space to sign both Brouwer and Laich. I forgot that the Nylander contract is finally of the books, so the Caps cap goes up by almost 9 million, not just 4. We have 13mil to spend on 3-4 forwards, 1 d man and a goalie. There is also a lot in the system.
