“I blame President Trump for turning the Grand Old Party into a lame, extreme right-wing group of people unwilling or unable to see the truth.”

Letting people like Dick Cheney, Mitch McConnell, Bob Dole and Karl Rove off the hook?

Trump didn't make the GOP this way. He just exploited it.

Not until they die and they have a big funeral where they're all called American Heroes.

Supreme Court hearing off to a hilarious start. Bush lawyers turned over 42,000 pages of documents to the committee late last night. Dems are protesting that they need time to review these.

Senator Grassley (R-IA) is claiming that the Republicans have reviewed all 42,000 pages since last night. Again, 42,000 pages. Since last night. The last day of a holiday weekend. Riiiiiiiight.

Grassley has improperly not allowed a motion that has been seconded. So Republicans delayed Obama's proper SC nominee for 10 months. But they won't even give the Democrats a couple days to properly evaluate the evidence REQUESTED by the committee.

Makes me wonder what is in that report.

Chief of staff John Kelly describes Trump as an "idiot" and "unhinged," Woodward reports. Defense Secretary James Mattis describes Trump as having the understanding of "a fifth or sixth grader." And Trump's former personal lawyer John Dowd describes the President as "a fucking liar," telling Trump he would end up in an "orange jump suit" if he testified to special counsel Robert Mueller.

"He's an idiot. It's pointless to try to convince him of anything. He's gone off the rails. We're in crazytown," Kelly is quoted as saying at a staff meeting in his office. "I don't even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I've ever had."

If this were put to some kind of vote, I'm curious how would you all (Canadians and Americans alike) feel about it?

/Second pick would be Alaska

What's Alberta doing blue there?

I'd union with those States but there are a lot of people in those places who would probably like to remain with the red part, especially in the western states and Wisconsin. On the flip Nevada is becoming pretty blue.

We should be more interested in the 101,000 pages the White House refused to turn over.

Michigan has militias. And Ted Nugent. Trade them for Ohio to the Blue/Canadian team.

Democratically controlled Maryland certainly knows this...

Too many states that do this. Both parties. Figure out a system that a computer can do and let it redraw the lines with the same basic rules after each Census. This isn't something a legislature should even be wasting time on, it's a bureaucratic process.

That is soooo bad. Md 2 is 1/3 of Harford County (the blue collar portion), South Baltimore and Liberal AA county. And they are trying to counteract most of Baltimore City with all of Timonium and Hunt Valley. But not places like White Marsh and Perry Hall.

Also love how 5 has deep Red St Mary's surrounding those articulate PG county... uhhhh... residents. 8 Also takes Montgomery county and balances it out with the residents of Fredneck. And 3 is desperate to find all the affluent white folks in the middle. Uh yeah, Laurel, Towson, Owings Mills and... Annapolis and Severna Park?

Also, looks like where I lived I would be in 1, but a few miles south would be 2. A few West would be 7 and my drive to work would have taken me SW through 3 and 2 and back into 7.
