So, another government shutdown is possibly only 4 days away and the president is having another rally tonight - This is nutso.

Wise plan on his part. Shut down the government again and his supporters won't get their shitty refunds on time.

Donald Trump Supporter Launches 'Incredibly Violent Attack' On BBC Cameraman At El Paso Rally | HuffPost

Calling it "Incredibly Violent" is hyperbolic, but the fact remains that "Security" at an event where the President was speaking failed to stop someone from getting into a restricted area.

Maybe they need some kind of barrier at these events that will separate the press from the supporters when they get worked into a lather by the racist/liar-in-chief. Like a fence or a wall or something.

That or just give all the press members guns and watch the safety ensue!

They found my aunt's body in the woods mauled by some animal. This was the last picture on her phone, taken seconds before.

Couldn't decide on the Calgary thread or the Toronto thread so picked neutral ground. :suds:

They've literally shut down schools in the city twice in 20 years. And FWIW, it's coming down hard now.

Keeping schools closed also reduces a shitload of traffic on the roads so emergency vehicles can service the 8 million people living in and around the city.

But I guess he has bigger problems if his "Calgary buddies" are the kinds of people who laugh at the safety of children :noidea:

After a week of smears by her own party for having the audacity to protect judicial independence, she has to resign.

Don't think she'll be the only one.

No need to get wound up. It's twitter, land of hyperbole. FWIW I live in Calgary and the strategy out here for road clearance (or basically maintenance on 90% of the roads) is to pretty much wait for the next Chinook. It's brutal.

And I hear that Vancouver is due for about 20 cm today. Those candy-arsed, shit-stabbing, sushi eaters are gonna have to call in the Navy Seals. Or more likely some vegan alternative to the Seals. :heh:

Oh I know, it just bothers me more than Kinsella is the kind of person who would go on a ten tweet rampage against someone saying "Man it sure is cold today, sure could use some of that GLOBAL WARMING!" but also thinks this is funny lol.

Schools closed in all lower mainland today. Good thing too.

Coincidentally (and to continue the stereotypes) yesterday some fucktard from alberta ... yes alberta plates on his white F350 lmao ... was speeding and hit a patch of slush and smashed into 2 parked cars across the street from my kids school which is on the crest of a hill. 5 minutes later and he would have killed kids. The pac mom crossing guards literally wanted to kill him

Stereotype day continues.

I'm pretty convinced that when you go to purchase a pickup truck in Alberta that you need to take a driving test. If you can fit your vehicle into a parking spot, stay in your lane and/or have any goddamn idea how to drive in the snow your purchase is declined.

If you park super fucking crooked across 2 spots, have no idea how large your vehicle is and drive weirdly fast in the snow because <derp> I has a fucken 4x4 bud, then they give 0% financing and free Harley Davidson stickers for your F-350.

I don't understand how people can live their entire lives in snowy climes and still drive like dicks in the snow.

I especially like the prairie folks who take shots at how we handle driving in the snow out here when their terrain is flat as fuck. Throw in a hill and youre officially a typical westcoaster who cant drive in the snow/ice i guess :noidea:

I also like west coasters who stereotype all prairie terrain as flat as fuck when that's not the case at all. Plenty of steep hills both in Calgary and Medicine Hat to negotiate.
