Anybody else remember that old episode of The Love Boat where Dr. Bricker and Isaac wagered that they could break Gopher? It’s the one where they locked him in a dark room and played ‘Disco Duck’ over and over and fed him only cut off crusts from kids sandwiches from the Lil’ Aztecs lounge. When he just about drifted off to sleep Doc and Isaac splashed water on him and yelled “We’re going down!”. Then when they finally let him out and asked him his name he found something deep inside himself and proudly stated that his name was Gopher! Good stuff. The look on his face when Isaac told him they killed his entire family, including his Puerto Rican child bride Olga, was priceless. How Grandy didn’t win a Tony for that I’ll never know.

So the guy barely won re-election, truly should have lost but thanks to the Governor he got back in, hasn't done anything, spineless like the others and instead of trying to fight for his seat (or listen to the people in his district!) next year he will just quit. He must admire Paul Ryan.
