You sure? It’s my understanding they are under by about 10-12 million at this point.

They are, but once the cap changes from top 51 to actual roster the PS cost will kick in, and that's $3M. That will reduce cap space to $7-9M. Any veteran that goes onto IR gets paid in full and counts against the cap. His replacement on the roster will increase the cap cost. The Eagles are already playing with fire in regards to injury replacements. If they add a $3M player they would effectively be reducing their cap space by another $2.4M or so. I'd be shocked if the Eagles added a $3M player. They could do it, but if they end up exceeding the cap limit the league will clobber them.
