Yeah, Zappe was a cute little story playing good for a couple of games vs. shitty defenses. Even at that, it wasn't like he lit the world on fire. It became a story because BB started playing his head games with Mac and the media and fans ran with it like they always do. All Zappe did was make them forget how awful the coaching was for a minute.
P.S. Having said that, Mac Jones would have been the best pick for the Niners but they were trying to get cute and fucked up.
