I think that Luck and Cutler are both likely to rate much higher than you have them, particularly Cutler. Wayne, Hilton, Nicks, Moncrief, Allen, Fleener, and Bradshaw provide Luck a pretty formidable stable of weapons. I think that Indy is likely to have one of the top two or three offenses in the league. Same for the Bears in the NFC, since I think that Jeffrey, Marshall, Bennett and Forte are all likely to put up some big numbers.

lol..come on, he's #6, and he's not passing Manning, Brees or Rodgers without one of them missing time..so 4 at best, that's not a whole lot different than 6, especially since spots 4-10 a generally only about 2-3 pts a week difference. From 4-10. maybe even 12, it's a total complete crapshoot and a big CF, everyone is very close with year end results.
AS for Cutler..I expect him to yet again miss at least 3 games with whatever nagging ailments he gets this year, thats why he's at the tail end of my CF in the middle.

I'm just shocked there is so little love for my Coma QB. .... (not really).
Other than that, 7-16 could end up in pretty much any order, and Big Ben should finish in the top 15. For fantasy purposes, I look more for consistence than the peaks and valley of some (e.g. Dalton) so I wouldn't take him as a starter in a 12 team league. IF Cutler stays on the field he will be a top 10 guy in fantasy.

not sure how you can disagree here, so how again is Luck "much" lower than you expect?

agree with Lefty here... no way I'm drafting Dalton, especially in a new system.

The only one I really disagree with is Eli, who I think rebounds big time.

...and I hope EJ ends up where RG3 is sitting :laugh3:

The only reason 8 have Dayton so high. .Green, Jones, Eifert, Gresham, and Gio. Plus he was. . And this about blew my mind. .. He was #3 last year, at least in our version of standard scoring

Yeah, Dalton is underrated (or at least was last year), but he had three games of single digit points and one more with 11. Five more under 20 and five crazy monster games. Too inconsistent to have as your only option, and too hard to tell when if the monster or the dud are on deck to "platoon" him. IMO

Well, they are end of year predictions/rankings, not necessarily who's gonna be the smartest play each and every week. ;)

True.

I was shocked to see him finish 3rd as well. Still, I don't see another handful of 4 or 5 TD games coming from the Red Fella, but I see your point, doesn't mean you're drafting him as the 10th QB taken.

Beyond the top-4 this really is a tough group to figure out. Guys like RGIII and Kaepernick have some great weapons around them plus the added bonus of running yet the inconsistency and injury issues make them a huge risk. I am one that is willing to actually risk it on RGIII as I think with the division he plays in and him finally being healed once again he will look more like his rookie self than last year's shell of himself.

I like Luck as well but really question whether his OL is much better from last season. I just see him if he has another year of getting used and abused by the defense having his body break down a bit. Hard to take that many hits and not see some kind of problem.

Newton is another that I question for this next season. He might have the worst WR/TE core in the NFL. I know he has been pretty darn good in FF but hard to do it on your own.

I would say top 3... but yeah, tough is the under statement of the year!

I can honestly see Cutler finishing within the top 5. There are two teams that have 2 Wrs ranked in the top 30 on espn, Green Bay and Chicago. You personally rank these top 2 Wrs from each team as top 12 Wrs. These rankings also don't include Forte, who is one of the best pass catchers out of the backfield in the NFL. Now, ESPN projects Rodgers to come off the board at 12 and Cutler to come off at 119. I understand if you don't think cutler will stay healthy, but the same could be said of Rodgers who holds onto the ball for a long time, has a terrible Oline, and is coming off of an injury riddled season as well. I think this year both QBs have the same chance of getting injured. I think Cutler will be a steal this year if he can remain healthy. I could see him being top 5. I understand you don't think he can stay healthy, but I'm not sure if you can really predict that very accurately. I usually avoid bears players due to homerism, but this year they actually have a good offense. I will take forte in the first if I have a pick in the middle of the round, bmarsh in the middle of the second, and Cutler in the 8th or 9th after I take Brady or rivers in the prior round (I've been using my first 6 or 7 picks on Wrs and rbs in mocks.)

As I said before. . And you yourself also just stated. . If he can stay healthy. . He went. . Thus the ranking outside the top 15, even though his WR's are highly regarded

I don't see him getting injured though...

It's funny to me looking at your other rankings. Are you predicting any running backs or wide receivers to get injured? They are usually getting hit much more violently than QBs do. There are many of them out there to get injured, but I honestly do not see a single prediction of yours saying that any of them will get injured. Only cutler. Is Cutler the only offensive skill player that will get injured according to your predictions, or am I missing something?

Yep yer missing something. ..DMC, MJD, Harvin, and others, all have the probability of missing time factored into where I ranked them

Not sure how you can't see other players have been dropped for the same reason. RGIII his rookie year finished 5th in fantasy points, yet after injuries last year he is not even in the top-10.

I would say in the RB's area AP not being first has somewhat to do with his injury history. Arian Foster before this past season was almost always in the top-5. Yet in the RB list he is 10th

There are others but you get the point. It isn't just Cutler. If you look at most fantasy football rankings Treff's ranking is just about where most have him. Now he is being called a possible fantasy football steal but he does have that major risk that comes with drafting him in he has struggled of late to play a full season. That makes him more a fantasy #2 quarterback in most leagues. Now a very good one at that but if you are depending on him being your top quarterback then you really are risking your season quite a bit.

Maybe it's true that you can't predict an injury. . But with certain players. . Usage, age, recent history, it's only logical to have a reasonable expectation that they will miss a game or two. .. or 4.

Probably the only 2 major injury guys worth taking a chance on are Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson. Both when healthy are the best at their positions. If they don't have that title then an injury player is hard to justify in my opinion. Usually around round 3 or 4 I will take a chance on a guy with an injury (stinking DMC failing me 3 years in a row) but like was said usually injury prone players struggle to make it through a whole season. Yes they might do it say every 4 years or so and everybody will be kicking themselves that they didn't draft them earlier but then the next year they go back to the norm after everybody overdrafts them.

If I had the choice of any QB this year, I would probably go with Rodgers and Brees next. I think Manning is still going to be good but I think his numbers will be down this year. He has to play the NFC West this year and all those good defenses. And maybe with a vastly improve defense, Denver might opt to slow things down a bit.
