It's the offseason and as such I get to look at various statistics that I may not take the time to work my way through during the season. I worked this particular one out over the last couple days, finding the average ranking each QB faced per start (minimum 4 starts). So, here's the list of the QBs who faced the toughest defensive opponents throughout the season:
  1. Johnny Manziel, Cleveland
  2. Derek Carr, Oakland
  3. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay
  4. Zach Mettenberger, Tennessee
  5. Josh McCown, Cleveland
  6. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis
  7. Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco
  8. Nick Foles, St. Louis
  9. Blaine Gabbert, San Francisco
  10. Philip Rivers, San Diego
  11. Alex Smith, Kansas City
  12. Ryan Mallett, Hoston/Baltimore
  13. Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota
  14. Matthew Stafford, Detroit
  15. Jay Cutler, Chicago
  16. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati
  17. Russell Wilson, Seattle
  18. Case Keenum, St. Louis
  19. Peyton Manning, Denver
  20. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh
  21. Brock Osweiler, Denver
  22. Blake Bortles, Jacksonville
  23. Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo
  24. Matt Hasselbeck, Indianapolis
  25. Joe Flacco, Baltimore
  26. Matt Cassel, Dallas/Buffalo
  27. Carson Palmer, Arizona
  28. Ryan Tannehill, Miami

  30. Drew Brees, New Orleans
  31. Sam Bradford, Philadelphia
  32. Brian Hoyer, Houston
  33. Eli Manning New York Giants
  34. Kirk Cousins, Washington

Why 40? Not top 25 or 50? Just curious.

Side note - Jimmy Clausen made only 3 stars, but they were against Seattle, Seattle & Kansas City. Had he started a fourth - even if against New Orleans - he would have been ranked #1 on the list.

Carr ain't had a break since he's been in the league.. For the most part playing top Ds!!
That's a good thing though, as it makes you better when you play the best..

I would say he hasn't had a break since he has been in the league because he has been with the Raiders. :D

Because 40 includes the loser douche. 39 doesn't.
ALWAYS...I mean ALWAYS on the minds of eagle and redskin fans. Look at you, what?... all of 25 years old and you just spew the hate for no other reason than it's all you fucking know to do. Philly fans bring a whole new kinda stupid, gotta go all the way back to Van Brocklin to find a eagle QB who's accomplished more than this lists #40 unless you wanna stick that chest out and talk first, second or third runner up.

It doesn't seem like you have any clue what you are talking about. I'm not going to attempt to decipher your gibberish. I did read it. Not sure what it says though. Carry on. Be offended, act defensive, do your thing.

sure...I'm offended and you didn't read it.

football clueless has no place, and attention seeking has less

I was just commenting on the list. I don't have a clue what the fuck you're doing besides pulling your finger out of Romo's ass to type some gibberish.

Having to play Denver and KC both twice a year will do that to ya.

Don't worry though. I have a feeling that Derrick Carr is a good one.

The toughest last year for Rodgers of QBs that started the whole season. This year with the easiest schedule in the league based on last years schedule this number will most likely fall.

How did Rodgers even keep the Packers afloat last year let alone almost make the NCF Championship game what with all the injuries to his o-line and wideouts, lacy going to shit and a middle of the road defense. Not to mention playing one of the toughest schedules in the league for a quarterback.

And Derke Carr is gonna be a monster. I think he's gonna end up being better than Luck when it's all said and done.
