what about booker? he can go on PUP since he wasn't involved in any TC since he suffered injury in OTAs.

Sounds like he will be ready fairly early into the regular season. So just depends on if we want him early or not. I don't think he will go on the PUP although he does qualify. Denver listed him as #2 RB on the latest depth chart release. Right now his timetable is looking at 1-3 weeks of the regular season.

if he goes on pup tho they could reasonably keep charles and ridley

1. CJ
2. Charles
3. Henderson
4. Ridley
PUP-Booker
Can stash some depth and makes it safer to keep 2 injury prone guys in CJ and Charles. IDK just spitballing

I don't think they are looking to put him on the PUP just to keep someone else around. They'd have to release someone when he comes back anyway. If he is healthy it appears they want him around and not just store him away for an extra body. I am sure they will evaluate his injury after this week and if he is going to miss longer then a good possibility, but I am under the assumption right now he will just be one of the 7 inactives the first week or two of the season as he continues to heal then be active.

Honestly, I wish the NFL had a 3 week PUP for players who are injured during camp and don't practice... 6 weeks is too long... 3 week PUP would be nice.

im assuming someone gets injured or one looks poor enough you can let them go

If I were king 90 player's per teams 53weekly as is now . rules the same just more reserves is all .

I just dunno a bout keeping 2 vets like Ridley and Charles behind what appears to be Henderson.

Depends on how Charles looks this game. But if he is ahead of those two on the depth chart, why keep both vets when Booker should be healthy by week 2?

Wouldn't shock me if he started on the PUP, but if his healing process is going well I just dunno if it will be jusitfied to do that. All your gonna do at that point is make a vet RB sit as one of the 7 inactives when you could wait on Booker.

That's just me though.

He struggled a bit the last two season but mostly due to injury.

Going to Pitt will up his stock. He had no pass rush in Cleveland while guarding the #1 WR week in and week out. This will be a nice change for him I feel.

I don't like Pitt and I love Haden, but he sorta deserves this situation. Money aside, the situation though.

Agree. 6 wks is bull. Booker won't go on pup. They still don't really know if Charles knee will hold up or if Henderson isn't fumble liability. He had two last game. No, Booker stays active guaranteed IMO
