I was disgusted with the entire Offense for the really crappy red zone production.
Yep. Mostly because they couldn't run the ball. It's not good when Lbs are dropping back in " coverage " on 3rd and one. :)

It's funny when you look around and see some of these guys and how many years they have played.

S Mike Adams (former Bronco) is going into his 14th NFL season this year..

Never a long term starter, but always a valueble, good kid, dependable player.. This guy has lasted a lot longer then some pro bowlers who shine for a good 5-6 years then fade quickly. Dependable means a lot in the NFL.

14 years from Mike Adams. Incredible to me, and I love seeing that.

I think offensive lineman should be highest paid players on offense. For the most part, unless your name is Rodgers, no Qb or Rb would be in HOF without them. Think about it. True story. They deserve ( the guys that have the stats ) as much as anybody on that side of ball. I'm stretching a little because the Qb will always get the accolades, regardless but for the dirty work they do, the success they provide for the Qbs and Rbs/ Wrs.......They should get paid accordingly. Of course that's my personal opinion I really respect the good ones and maybe cause Denver has lacked in that department since the Elway day's, I'm just a tad more partial and " wanting " . I've always been a run game fan more than passing game so that figures into my opinion for sure. Would love to see what our rbs could do behind a Dallas or Cleveland line. :) Boredom/ranting applies here.

I would add Manning to the list of guys that could have had the worst OL in football and still found a way to be successful. His ability to read a defense and get the ball out before the defense can hardly get out of their stance was 2nd to none.

I do agree though OL needs to get more respect for what they do than they do. They are the guys needing 20 surgeries after their playing career just to be able to function. Talked with a guy that played OL for Nebraska and started 4 years. He decided not to go pro as he was already in so much pain that he didn't want to endure what would have been ahead. He needed quite a few surgeries and he still can't sit in a normal chair as it is too far down for his knees. His wrists are the other thing. Constant pain and just can't hardly bend them.

OL are like the catcher in baseball.

I don't care if my catcher bats .200 as long as the guy is a stud behind the plate.

Unless you are the Colorado Rockies who, in 25 years, have yet to have a good, much less great, catcher. Ianetta was probably as good as they have had if that tells you anything.

Us Cardinal fans have been spoiled from Tony Pena to Tom Pagnozzi to Mike Matheny to Yadir Molina. It keeps getting better and young Carson Kelly grooming behind Molina.

Rumor is that the Saints could cut 2015 first rounder Stephone Anthony. I was very high on Anthony coming out. If they do, I would love to see what he could do with this supporting cast around him. At worst a depth guy, but would love to give him a shot here. My guess is someone with a higher waiver claim would nab him. Browns, Cardinals, Bears maybe. Dolphins would probably put a claim in too but they have a low claim.

I would love him on this defense. He is better than at least one of our back ups at the ILB position for sure.

I think we'd get the most out of him in this defense. A great fit, IMO.

Tough roster decisions - Safety - J. Carter - WR - Raymond, Fowler, Taylor, Latimer - CB - Doss, RB - Ridley -Charles.

Sounds like Week 3 is a do or die for Charles. He is expected to get a lot of action this week.

Could be wrong but pretty sure Fowler and Latimer are nearly locked in. As they have had strong camps. Don't quote me on that, but just what I gather...

Taylor could be SOL with McKenzie as our return man and Henderson a 3rd rd pick. Unless we just decide even with the strong camp Latimer has had that long term we like Taylor more.

Fowler seems to be the #3 right now. But I'd say we have a cluster at WR right now. You may see us mix and match different WR sets come season time. Not sure we have a true depth chart there after the top two.

Marlon Brown has also done his thing, but probably too much in front of him going on to stick.

Raymond hasn't had a bad camp but with McKenzie as the return man it appears bleak he will make it. I don't know that we will keep him on the PS cause really he is here to be a return man and that appears to be McKenzie's, either way I don't think Raymond is done as an NFLer, at some point he will either be on a PS or active roster again.

The PS rules have changed. I know Raymond is PS eligible but we may not need him there since we have our return man, but I think Jordan Taylor under the new rules can also go back on our PS. I'd expect him to be at the very least on the PS spot. Raymond may be on someone else's PS.

Funny VJ said Sloter has zero chance to make the 53 today.
Not sure I would say that at this point

If VJ said it then I'd say it.

I'd be surprised if Sloter made the active roster. He should go on the PS. Nobody is gonna claim him and if we like him enough when he is on the PS we can activate him if someone wants to bring him up at some point. I don't fully understand why teams keep a 3rd QB if the 3rd guy is undrafted because you can store him on your PS and save a roster spot, 3rd QB's are hardly active on gameday, so it would be sorta wasting a roster spot for a guy we can have continue to groom by using a PS spot instead.

Agree with @Draft Crazy - Sloter is exactly the guy you hide on the PS. The Broncos have to do something not too far down the road - because they will have Kelly, Sloter, Siemian and Lynch as next year's circus.

Perfect example of why intelligence plays a role in pro football.

CB playing tonight for the Giants Michael Hunter. A guy I have known since his FR year in college. Really a nobody in college, just an average CB.. Camp fodder like signing, guy is very intelligent and character guy. Picks up on the scheme fast, becomes reliable and BOOM flocks over the depth chart and has locked the 4th spot down. He earned the trust of the coaching staff through film study, knowing where he needs to be within the scheme. He isn't the most athletically gifted CB in camp (obviously he has some skill to be there) but he separated himself with smarts.

Great news.

Shaq Barrett is back at it... Going to see some practice time this week and moved back to the active roster.
