I was just approached about a trade for Ray Rice. I am set at running back, with McCoy and Ball as my starters, and I've got Terrance West as a depth player. He really wants another RB, and I think I could use some help at other positions. Who do you guys think I should go after? You guys don't think he may have more value without seeing him? Ravens ground game looked shaky so far and I don't know how confident I am that he's gonna come off suspension and look very great. I'm inclined to agree with you guys, but that's my fear.

He might have anticipation value, but dont trade him just to trade him... and besides for marshall(who you wont get for ray rice) he doesnt really have any WR that is better than a flex option anyway... some may have more potential than others, but why would you trade depth at the most coveted postion in fantasy football for a DECENT fantasy WR... you will not be able to get Julius thomas either, so it is just a WR... If ray rice comes back and plays like he has before last season to any extent you can easily get a better package... And if he doesnt, then you could still probably get some of the WR on this team...

Exactly. Unless you can get Orange Julius or Marshall there's really no reason to just trade....and you ain't getting them for Rice.

On another note, do you guys think that he might see more punishment come down after the video being released today? The backlash in the media is creating quite a bit of pressure to do something about it.

I dont think they can give him a harsher punishment... Not sure about NFL rules, but isnt what your talking about double jeopardy??

Yeah, but the heat is definitely on either the NFL or the Ravens to do something. The Ravens could cut him, too.

Not for an incident that was already handled... The ravens can drop him for any reason, but i dont think they can directly blame it on the domestic abuse incident... then again, I really have no clue what i am talking about...

I'm just saying, people are PISSED and lots of people are saying he should never play again. I'm not gonna be happy if he ends up not playing at all. On the flip side, I think I may have a chance to negotiate getting Julius Thomas for him if he does indeed play, so I'm gonna just let this whole thing play out.

I'd think about offering Ryan/Clay for Brady/Thomas. Ryan's not actually going to be that much better than Brady, but it looks like it right now. Julius will be much better than Clay, though.

Yup. I sent the Rice/Ryan/Clay for JT/Brady trade literally seconds before seeing on Twitter that he'd been cut. I got laughed at a little.

Yep I might offer either Pierce or West, since both of the guys starting in front of them are likely not going to be playing much. Don't think I could pull JT for either of them, though.
