12tm PPR

Team A gets Matt Forte
Team B gets Roddy White and Darren Sproles

I consider Forte to be a high end RB1 in PPR, Roddy looking more and more like a WR2/3 instead of a WR1/2, and Sproles a high end RB2.

Points of Interest:
Do defenses start to lose Sproles in efforts to shut down Graham?
Does Roddy fully recover from whatever it exactly is that is slowing him down?
Does Forte indeed lose GL duties?

As of right now, I'm leaning towards saying that Team B is getting the better end here.

thoughts?
(and like last time, I can post detailed roster info if that helps anyone make up their mind on this deal)

I would say team B is getting the better end. More upside with both White and Sproles.

I'm on the B side as well. Generally I side with the team getting the best player, but in case, I don't think Forte is that great, even in PPR-scoring that also fairs Roddy and Sproles (most of the time). Once White gets over this ankle injury, he's a string WR2 especially in PPR

Forte I think is going to be big in the Passing and Running but it seems pretty fair to me. I mean if Team B has another back to put in spot one or they are getting Sporles for Flex then I think its pretty fair.

I would take Forte unless I had depth issues. Forte is a top 5 back in PPR, and this could be the beginning of the end for Roddy.

Team A gets the nod for me. Forte is a monster in that offense and is running like a man possessed. In a PPR format, RBs like Forte are at a premium. Forte has far more rushing yards, and more catches, than Sproles. With the WR position being so deep, there's no reason to give up a seriously legit top 3-5 RB1 for a RB with PPR potential (even though it can be inconsistent) and a washed up WR getting phased out.

Until roddy shows something this season I would say team A wins this deal by a wide margin...If we are to assume that roddy will become what he has been the last few seasons then i think it is a fair trade... But Roddy is becoming a very big question mark, especially as Julio is becoming one of the elite in the NFL...

The rosters make a big difference in evaluating the trade. This could very well be a win for both teams. There doesn't always have to be a winner and a loser.

Team A already traded TRich for Sproles and Antonio Brown, right before he became a Colt

Team B could use the depth at WR and could spare a little at RB, but I wouldn't deal Forte; I'd look for a different deal - Bell for Roddy or something along those lines.

Team A needs RB help and has enough depth to spare Roddy at WR/TE, especially with Miller back. Forte is a huge improvement over Sproles, so I'd jump at the deal. (But I might accept Bell straight up for Roddy if Bell looks good in London.)

Team A definitely improved their team. I don't understand Team B's rationale.

Trade did not go through, I couldnt rationalize losing a top 5 RB for Roddy and Sproles. even with Rice still on the roster, I would think that bernard, sproles, bell, mcgahee would give me a RB2 with a good matchup every week, Id rather debate those RBs at FLEX, and keep rolling with Forte/Rice combo at RB. Thanks for the thoughts/input everyone. I almost sold low on Forte when I originally was attempting to buy low on Roddy.

Also, didn't mention earlier that the Roddy/Sproles owner is also in my division (12tm, 3 divisions) and that the trade could have negative impact on me making the playoffs

I am very glad to hear of your decision. White and Sproles for Forte would've been a landslide victory for the other team.

In that case I'd check bye weeks before trading. Ideally you give him a player who's on a bye when you face him.
