Not really.
Philly had no realistic path to Harden in free agency.

None.

They did what they had to do to get the guy they wanted all along.

He will never have to worry about taking a shot ever again...lol

He's got a roster full of shooters.

Hack-a-Ben is only a issue if the score is close.

Well he still needs to provide some sort of threat on offense.

...Allen was a bad trade because he would have given them everything they were lacking .

But, they would have lost him in a bidding war.

He was a restricted fa

They could’ve kept him if they could stomach the tax bills

LOL. Fuck you Woj.

Brian Windhorst had a report yesterday that Philly/Brooklyn had been talking and things were escalating. Then Woj tried to big dick him and put out a report saying they weren't. He didn't name Windy specifically, but it was clear he was taking shots at him. Windy gets the last laugh

At first glance, I feel like the 76ers bid against themselves. But also we don't know what type of offers were out there for Simmons. The longer he remains inactive, the less likely teams will be willing to give up additional assets to get him.

So I think the trade kind of is what it is.

It's funny how a week ago all we heard was how the Sixers needed to give up Simmons plus draft picks plus Maxey. Now we are hearing how the Sixers gave up "too much" because they gave up Curry a late 1st next year and a protected 1st 5 years from now.

I like Curry. But he was not pivotal to the team's success. Harden is just as good a shooter as Curry.

Didn't hear all the chatter a few weeks ago. But Curry is a significantly better shooter than Harden. Also depends on how they're getting their shots. Seth is a floor spacer. Harden is a ball dominant player. So from a catch and shoot and floor spacing, Curry is significantly better and IMO a vital piece to an offense that has a dominant Center.

He really doesn't.

D &D no 3.

* Defend and distribute *

You are talking to someone who has watched a LOT of Simmons basketball. In the playoffs, they will just ignore him and double up on Kyrie/KD. If he drives they will foul him and make him prove he can hit those shots.

They are still going to be very good. But if he doesn't fix his free throws he will be a liability on offense.

He's only 28. Sorry to see him go. He provided a lot of valuable minutes and I wish he wasn't part of the deal. Not a huge loss, per se. But it was nice to have a backup that could put in 35-40 minutes when Embiid was out.
He was having a great year.
