Harden, Mills for Simmons, Curry, Thybulle and Drummond

Sixers would lose bad in that trade. Of course Morey probably makes other moves but still

For me, yes.

I’m Simmons Green Springer/Isaiah Joe and pick

Or I say fuck it I’ll wait until summer.

I think that’s a better off than what they’re doing now

Don’t know why the nets want to move mills instead of a guy like brown

It would have to include another Net. Likely Mills

Is Mills going to be the backup 5?

Ultimately, the deal has to make sense for both sides. I get Marks trying to hold out for the max deal he can get. But ultimately, if he doesn't get a deal done, he's facing a very real possibility of losing Harden for nothing in the offseason.

And if the reports are true that Harden wants out and wants to come to Philly, it is entirely possible he will pout his way through the rest of the season.

Man, I hate this. Sixers become a train wreck at the 4 if they don’t bring back something more from OKC. Hield vs Curry is a down grade. I want to add Harden but to what end with this kind of deal? This team would have major issues and only about 30 games to figure it out.

It's a terrible deal for the Sixers. They would be LESS of a title contender with that deal.

Well they would be getting Curry, Thybulle and Drummond but that seems like way too much. I highly doubt that happens but if it does....Morey deserves to rot back in Houston

If they get Harden then just keep Harris. Fuck it, you are all-in if you get Harden anyway. Pay for it

Simmons 30 mil
Harris 36 mil
Curry 8 mil

That’s 74 million going out

Harden 41.5
Hield 22.5

That’s 64 million coming back

That’s 10 million of player salaries unaccounted for that needs to bring a starting caliber 4 and third scoring option. I don’t like it at all for a team that already has defensive and rebounding issues.

Agreed. He’s a 36 million dollar 3rd option. It’s not ideal but it’s better than bringing nothing back to round out the team outside of Buck Tooth Buddy Hield. Hield is 3 times as much as Curry. Curry can actually start. Hield can’t even start for a trash basketball team in the Kings.

Yeah....they gotta dump Simmons.....and they get back enough to make a run in the playoffs.

I think he'll hold up better than Westbrook has. And of the people up for big contracts in the short term future (like Beal), I'd much more comfortable paying it a player like Harden. For a win now team in championship contention, its worth it to pay it and see if it bumps you over the hump in the near term. You'll eat it on the backend but its worth it if that's the move that secures you the chip.

Yeah, it's not like Harden is depending on his athleticism for success. He's never been a high flier or speed demon of any sort.

Still hate him with a passion though, lol.

The buyout market is where it's at for the Lakers.

Let James recruit.

At the very least, Lakers need to trade off some dead weight for assets (future 2nd rounders, overseas rights, etc) to open up roster spots and minimum salary slots. Jordan and Bazemore are out of the rotation without injuries coming into play and need to be dumped without eating their salaries.

There a quite a few nerd articles on Harden's deceleration being elite and that's what makes him unique.
I can't say I'm too familiar with similar athletes so I don't know if this gets better or worse with age.

You can go more than 10m. Doesn’t need to be a perfect match. Just within 80%
