Here's the best part of it. Look at who they brought in. Younger players they will be on the team longer than just this year. Combine that with the Brooklyn pick, which could be top 5 in a draft that just so happens to run about 5 deep with top talent, they are in VERY good shape even if/when Lebron leaves

How much better is the Thunder roster with kanter and McDermott instead of Melo? Only way thst was a good trade is if it put Westbrook over the top in resigning. They showed against the Warriors that Melo really adds nothing. Point is sometimes it’s the trades that aren’t made as well.

Randle is gonna be a restricted free agent though. Some team is gonna give him the max that he's eligible for so if LA keeps him, that's going to eat into the cap space they are freeing up. They're gonna have to deal him as well. Which isn't the worst thing in the world if they wait and do a sign and trade with him. They could at least recoup something for him

True. I love Randle and hope that he'll stay for less money. But I agree that someone is probably going to offer him more than the Lakers are going to want to pay him.

Also agree that a sign and trade would be ideal.
