In 4 more seasons Cavs will still be a bottom feeder ( guaranteed), and nice try with 6 year spin on Heat.

And, no, not explaining it to you again.
Run with whatever you want.
ok....per you, you sure seem butt hurt.

Overvaluing Kuzma wasn't what stopped the trade.

The Knicks wanting Danny Green AND Kuzma was what stopped the trade.

It had to be Green or multiple others to get Kuzma's contract up to Morris'. Exactly the reason I didn't expect the Lakers to do anything of note at the deadline.

I don't really get the need for Morris over Kuzma anyway. Kuz is struggling a bit this year, but look at the numbers (and remember, Morris was putting his up for a bad Knicks team):

Kuzma: 25 min/g, 12.9 ppg on 10.9 shots (43.5%, 33%, 75%), 4.4 reb, 1.2 ast, .4 blk, .4 stl, 1.8 PF, 1.6 TO
Morris: 32.3 min/g, 19.6 ppg, on 14.8 shots (44.2%, 43.9%, 82.3%), 5.4 reb, 1.4 ast, .4 blk, .8 stl, 3.0 PF, 1.7 TO

Morris' 3 pt shooting is the major difference, and that is an outlier considering the rest of his career (best previous was 38.1%). Is that worth giving up your starting SG in addition to Kuzma? And future 2nd rounders? Kuzma still has upside remaing at 6 years Morris' junior. Kuzma spends a portion of his minutes while both Lebron and Davis are resting, putting the defensive focus on him.

There are better trade targets to use Kuzma for over the summer if they decide to move him. I would look at similarly priced young players (rookie contracts) instead of as a piece towards a pricey vet (given the rotational role behind both Lebron and AD).

Pat Riley did it again. He pulled off the unthinkable, and the Miami Heat just went from a fringe opponent in the Eastern Conference to a much more formidable contender this season. Riley, of course, traded Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, and James Johnson to Memphis for Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder, and Solomon Hill. More important, the team has positioned itself as a huge player in the 2021 free-agency period, when Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will be up for grabs.

Riley once again proved he's playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Things might not always work out the way the Heat planned, but there is always a plan.

...and proceeded to lose the first 2 games post deadline. These moves are moot if Butler misses considerable time to this shoulder injury.

im trying to figure out why the lakers said no to the counter. Better deal for them.

If they trade Cousins, they lose the injury exception that would be crucial to having an edge on any buyout opportunities.

Pretty short sided.
Plus, he traveled with the team.
Better safe then sorry.
Riley dumped the player whose missed half a season with a back bruise.

I hadn't heard an update on Butler, that's what I was looking for. Heat were pretty erratic even prior to Butler's injury however. Crowder may end up helping more than Iggy.

ah. Thanks for that. Forgot those could be used for signings and not just traded.

On the road, yes, no doubt.
They’ve won multiple home games without Butler.

I agree on Crowder.
Iggy will also help.

Crowder, Butler, Bam and Iggy on the floor together should provide some lock down D.

I think there are 2 main reasons:

1.) Lebron: As soon as Lebron was signed, the Lakers focus switched from developing into contenders to, better win one in the next 3-4 years. Kuzma could develop into the player the Lakers need to put them over the top, but the Lakers don't have that kind of time. In short, Morris already is what the Lakers hope Kuzma can become.

2.) Defense: Kuzma tries on defense and he's gotten a little better, but he's still not very good. Morris, on the other hand, is a dawg.

Oh it gets better. He is trying to say that by not letting him delete his profile, it is against internet privacy rules. Sadly I had to inform him that we aren't governed by GDPR here on the Hoop and he doesn't live in California so CCPA doesn't protect him so he can kindly fuck off.

His main issue is he is getting emails about threads he created or replies in. He doesn't want those emails anymore. I guess he is too fucking stupid to go into his preferences and change that setting. :L

Why don't you just delete his profile entirely? Or will that mean he can come back as an alt?
