Machado side... can I really decline two top five picks? I'm really torn.

This is a tough one.. I mean it's Goldschmidt and Harper though both are struggling a little.. Personally I'd go with no because I think those two are bound to break out huge... But I am not the greatest on predicting these sorts of things

Don't think I could pass up Harper and Goldy. Prado I can't quit, don't know why.

Upton is definitely coming around. And he could be huge for a week or two here or there. But he's most likely going to hit 6th or so in his lineup. Dealing him wouldn't scare me away.

Machado would be tough to deal though. Especially since you can slot him at SS.

His .401 wOBA is 1 and 3 points behind his 2014 and 2013 totals, respectively. I just wouldn't call someone "slumping" when they have a .941 OPS and a 150 wRC+

He was in a slump (for him) though. But he is pricking it up and like you mentioned his numbers are good but at one point he was not the "Goldschmidt" everyone expected.

Myers and Machado each have more points right now than Goldy and Harper. Obviously we don't expect that to continue....

I would have probably made this move, but I think you may end up being better served keeping what you have.

I don't think O'Brien factors into the equation at all here, so I view it as a 3-3 trade.

Machado is the best player in the deal because of his position eligibility. Goldy and Harper are both elite, but Harper has been struggling recently and I think is still a couple years away from fully reaching his potential.

Bottom line, if we are just looking at 2016, I think the expected points from Machado, Myers and Upton should be really close to Harper, Goldy and Prado. It is easy to look at those two names and instantly click accept (I probably would have) but the reality is that Myers has been playing great and Upton is as consistently solid as they come. If you told me that he would produce on a similar level to Harper Over the last 3 months, I would not be completely shocked.
