In the last 3 years they are behind both SEC divisions, Pac 12 North and B1G East. They are right in line with the ACC Atlantic over this timeframe you're giving. The division has gotten better over the last 3 years than they were the first 3 years of the CFP, which was the worst division.

The West isn't very good. You saying it isn't lackluster is incorrect. I'm not sure what's wrong about me saying they are behind both SEC divisions, the B1G East and P12 North? At least in your time frame.

It really isn't, the gap between the top middle then lower half of the B16, SEC, ACC, and PAC is growing wider and wider. Not that ou isn't doing the same but week in, week out.. Big 12 is crapshoot because of QB play. My whole argument with the SEC thing was, they didn't have elite QBs throwing the ball around in spread offenses 7 years ago. Defense doesn't travel week in week out like pass happy offenses who scheme to pick on your LBs or your big LB looking safety.
Sure when it came to the bowl games and CFP, you could prepare and get healthy enough for 3 weeks or so til the game. But doing that in conference play over and over will leave you vulnerable.

The Big16? Hey why you only picking on that conference? The Big XII can't add either. They have 10 teams.

I was never talking about the SEC East or West, or B1G East, because they are behind those divisions. They're obviously well ahead of either ACC division overall, and they're ahead of the P12 North.

Last year they were ahead of both ACC divisions, but over the last 3 years, they are basically equal to the Atlantic. And last year they were worse than the P12 North. And the two before that for that matter.
