Tough Week ahead for NJD

I have my tickets for Sunday here in Pittsburgh, hopefully they get it rolling and return the favor from last Saturday. We will learn a lot about this team over the next 6 days.

I'm hoping for at least 5 points out of 8. I think we're better than the Rangers, Tampas O is great but their D is terrible, then if we can get a point out of the back to back with Pitt, that's a solid week in my opinion. I'm also not convinced Pitt is that much better than us but we need to score.

We better get more than 1 this weekend. I agree on the other 2 games, I want at least 3 this weekend though. Pens have played their share of sloppy hockey as well and were awful at home prior to that game. It was perfect storm, we had been getting by for a couple games with sloppy passing and some bad D and they were due to play a good one at home.

the devils are better then the rangers their whole defense is diving and blocking shots. get past that and we should be ok. tampa is legit and they have a decent goalie this year.

only games that worry me is pitt. but its going to be tough weeks every week

I'm just looking over the remaining schedule and this is basically the worst week we have until the final week of the season where we play NYR, MTL, PITT, NYR. I'd say this week is definitely the hardest.

So 1 down, next up Tampa Bay. Philly held them to 1 goal last night so they are very beatable, however we can't keep taking mindless/lazy penalties like we have been. We pretty much spent the entire first period against the Rangers short handed. Luckily their PP sucks. I doubt we see similar results with the Lightning.

Never know what your gonna see with Tampa..one night they look like world beaters the next they look like cellar dwellers. I dont like their D and goaltending at all so I think getting a lot of shots early is the key.

i watched some of the flyers game last night and the bolts goalie is HUGE hes a MONSTER in net! he also is giving me insane fantasy numbers for the spot i drafted him in. he will be getting a spot on the bench tomorrow though!

bolts lost 2 in a row so they will be hungry

I would love a win today. I was hoping for 4 of 8 points in this stretch. If you can play .500 against the best in the conference, you're looking good. Already get there before facing Pitt in the double header this weekend.

Yuck, Gionta with probably the worst shift I've ever seen him have on the tying goal by Tampa. Barch follows it up with a tripping call.

Elias' goal was just silly. This has been a weird game. 5 on 3 and the Lightning take an unsportsmanlike from the bench before the faceoff for an extended 5 on 3. Clarkson just took a diving call. Elias with a weird goal. Interesting to say the least.

Splitting 1 with the Pens will go a long way..win on Saturday and play with house money in PIT would be a nice way to do it.

Kovy getting on the board was nice..hopefully he starts a little streak here.

Would've had a 2nd if he decided to bury the empty net but instead tried to set up Carter (yuck). 2 assists as well and was wreaking havoc on the PK. Larsson looked awesome out there against St. Louis in my opinion. Henrique, Gionta and Butler had very solid games as well, all 3 were very noticeable out there.

Realllly impressed with Larsson..playing with a more confidence this year. Looking like he belongs..and whats the deal with Greene lately? Actually hitting the net with shots. Hope that lasts.

Right? The guy has shown glimpses of it in the past. He plays his best hockey when he's carrying the puck and getting involved on offense. He needs to keep that up.
