I really hope the team stays in Buffalo. It is obviously one of the NFL's smaller markets, but the fact that the NFL has teams in cities like Green Bay and Buffalo is sort of what adds to the allure of the NFL. The Bills have a passionate fan base and I think it would be a damn shame if they left Buffalo.

No money = no team. I think the bigger question is whether Toronto is willing to support the NFL either. Skydome is not an acceptable full-time stadium and after the disastrous cost over-runs when it was built the only way a new stadium gets funded is if the Premier's brother owns the land.

At least the city has proven it will support a perennial loser.

If this did happen would it be the beginning of the end for the CFL?

beginning of the end? If no Toronto team or viewing audience, no TV coverage. The league folds in under 5 years. I'd rather see the NFL take over completely and make it a developmental league with a dozen teams in the US too in smaller cities. The CFL tried in the 1990s, but it'd need NFL money and they'd have to make the field dimensions and rules match.

In a perfect world, 32 Triple-A football teams in the US and Canada wouldn't be a terrible idea. Let them play in spring and summer for a football-starved public, and don't interfere with the college or real NFL seasons. Start 2 weeks after the draft now that rookie salaries are somewhat mandated.

The CFL has it's own thing. Many Canadians are against the move, especially if it harms CFL.

just another offseason thing to talk about for no reason.

Toronto doesnt give a rats ass about the CFL. Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America and the time has come for the NFL to come here.

Tell that to the NBA with the LA Lakers and the Utah Jazz...

The Bills were named after Buffalo Bill Cody. If they became the Toronto Bills, then the name wouldn't make any sense. There was no Toronto Bill out there. You would have to change it to the Toronto Codies.

Indeed, and LA isn't known for lakes and Utah isn't known for Jazz, but they both kept their names.

whats the buzz in WNY regarding this topic?

Here's what I know:

- The Bills signed a lease to stay at Ralph Wilson stadium until 2017.
- None of Wilson's children want to own the Bills.
- We have heard rumors that Bon Jovi and Donald Trump are interested in buying the team.
- Most Bills fans, despite going through 14 seasons without a playoff appearance and only 1 winning season in that time period, don't want to see the team go away.
- Rumors point to the Bills moving to Niagara Falls.
- Most Bills fans I know hate traveling to Toronto to watch the team play. Believe me, I know season-ticket holders and think the Rogers center is a piece of junk.
- So far, nobody has officially been trying to buy the team.We have a local billionaire named Tom Golisano, who bought the Buffalo Sabres, who might creep into the picture.

Hope this answers your question. Let me know if you want to know more information.

That's not what my relatives say about their taxes, electricity, and natural gas costs in Ontario.

 I like it. Anyway, it would be shameful if they became the Toronto Bills. It would completely devalue the origin and meaning of the team.

Buffalo Bill was seen as an American pioneer and war hero. Hence the red, white, and blue team colors. Making him Canadian would be :lame: and :L.

Well, what should they be? Alliteration is good, but not mandatory. The Toronto Tax Hikes would be a play on a football move.
