Was I high? No one disputed Julio, Gilbert and Kirby weren’t carrying their weight. Problem was no one else was. Jerry did nothing to make them better from them being in the gutter to where they are at, hence why I posed the question if Scott did something to rally the team and it sparked something. That is on you if you think the Santana deal was anything more than just a warm body to cover for the France injury. Were you high?
Several young guys are not only clicking, but carrying the load. Jrod is on another level, Gilbert and Kirby are playing crazy good for young pitchers.
Suarez is looking better than he did early. Winker showing signs of coming out of his funk. Ray pitching much better. The moves they made to the early blow-pen have worked.
Even the recent pickups have at least added reasonable stopgap measures. Santana has had some crazy good plays at 1st that have contributed to this surge.
GTFO Dipoto should be fired / hasn't done anything.
If either Hani or Lewis can ball out the rest of the year and help keep Toro out of the lineup, this could be an outstanding second half.
Yea it was nice to see ole' Skunk-Head get into one. An earlier at bat he watches 2 fastballs for strikes and never swings and then takes a hack at a breaking ball out of the zone after he had 2 strikes on him. All is forgiven ... last nite was a great game.

It helps when the umps finally decided that he had paid his dues and stopped calling a strike on anything within 3 inches of the strike zone. Granted their are still some umps giving him the rookie treatment, but it is happening far less often. Bobby Witt Jr went through something very similar to Julio, and when the umps finally eased up him, he started hitting too. And now the umps are doing to the Pirates super rook, O'Neill Cruz. 25 strikeouts in 68 at bats? Come on, man. I don't know why MLB lets the umps get away with that shit.J-Rod is something else!! He's been on fire these last games. M's offense has definatey turned the corner. JP gets a nice RBI double to put the M's in the lead.

1 game over .500. Time for a return visit even just for a cup of coffee?Well like the Mariners batters, I am out. If they make it back to .500 in my lifetime I will revisit. But same old crap and this board down to 5 posters, time to vent elsewhere about something else in life.
