Does he even?..... Strikeout people....?
I know you love that YU has over 200 Ks, but I hope it hasn't skewed things for you this much?

Scherzer actually allows fewer hits, but they're practically tied. And fewer walks. And his K/BB is higher, which is a sign of dominance. They're extremely close right now. Too close to definitively pick one. Plus, Hernandez, Kuroda and Sale are right there too. The last month is really going to make the difference.
Well kuroda's advanced numbers don't match the ERA
That's pretty fair. His xFIP is solid but unspectacular and his BABIP is pretty low. His WHIP is still great, and his BAA/OBPA/SLGA/OPSA are all good. He keeps the ball in the park despite pitching in Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Camden Yards and Rogers Centre a disproportionate number of times per year.Well kuroda's advanced numbers don't match the ERA
You don't think he's "this good"? What does that even mean? This is his 2nd year dominating the AL East.Plus I don't think Kuroda is this good. And it does kind of skew things for me a little
Well, they haven't pitched the same number of innings, so you can't go by total hits. Scherzer has an eyelash lead in H/9.Yep it is close indeed. By the way. Scherzer 117 hits, Yu 110 hits, Scherzer 191 Avg against, Yu 189 Avg against
Well kuroda's advanced numbers don't match the ERA
I know how those stats work. I'm just saying darvish has more ks and a better era than scherzer he also allows less hits..
I would still take darvish over any those other 2
Sale and Max also play in a much weaker hitting division than Darvish..Felix...and even Kuroda...seeing weaker hitters twice as much tends to accent your numbers....
if anyone doesn't think Kershaw is a runaway winner in the NL...then you are immediately elminated from any Cy Young discussions because, you sir, do not know baseball.
Sounds like an exaggeration...
The 4 divisional rivals for Detroit (obviously can't include Detroit since Scherzer doesn't face his own team) has averaged 533 runs this year.
The 4 divisional rivals for Texas have averaged 549 runs this year
So the difference is a mere 16 runs a game/team...slightly better offensive opponents for Darvish, sure, but it's not like he's consistently facing the 1927 Yankees and Scherzer's facing the 1962 Mets.
Texas is doing everything they can to eliminate Felix from the discussion. This may be a 2 horse race now.
Yu would win it today in my book I can give 2 shots about win loss record
And 8 hours ago, would you have still picked Darvish?
Coming into today's game...
Scherzer 154 ERA+, 0.91 WHIP, 178 IP, 2.1 BB/9, 9.9 K/9., 4.67 K/BB, .190 BAA, .554 OPSA, 5.9 WAR
Darvish. 157 ERA+, 1.04 WHIP, 168 IP, 3.1 BB/9, 12.1 K/9, 3.88 K/BB, .191 BAA, .594 OPSA, 5.1 WAR

why would you leave out todays game? now that didn't make sense at all, especially since the Tigers game was over well before you posted this?
