I personally think Gonzales should be #1 and Casper #2 and I don't know how Coates even made the list, Heap should have been in his spot and if Gronk can stay healthy a few more years, he will bump someone off there also IMO....Thoughts ?????

Are you sure they didn't mean Sterling Sharpe here? He was definitely the better of the two Sharpes.

Mackey has always been a personal favorite of mine since I was a kid. There's definitely a split between the traditional TE types like Mackey and Ditka and the pass catching wizards Gonzalez and Sharpe. I think the only way Gronk stays off this list is if he gets injured some more.

I know what you mean, It was a way different game back then, so there is a lot to consider in determining the 10 best all time for sure...No mention of HOF'r Charlie Sanders is enough to make you scratch your head....
I figure our guess is as good as theirs, after all, they are all guesses....

I'm not sure either, but it might have something to do with him catching more TD's in 8 years than Ozzie Newsome did in 12.
