also, interesting little tidbit... Yankees do not have any all time great pitchers... sure, Johnson and Clemens played a good amount as a yankee... but they are not considered yankees...

the best YANKEE pitcher is Whitey Ford... and he aint a top 10 pitcher...

He was top 3 or so of his time. He is a legit name to rotate through the options.

But there are a LOT of pitchers who need to get listed before him…

Rivera is one that might spark some interest. Greatest closer of time.....but still just a closer.

definitely true... if we were getting good pitching movement, it would be easier to push him... but because he is a reliever, he cant be a top 5 or even a top 10 pitcher... but id have no problem pushing him as a top 20 pitcher of all time... probably even top 15....

yeah but he's definitely a "unicorn". He's the best closer of all time and it is not even remotely close. Most closers are up and down. This guy played for the same team for 19 years. Has there ever been another closer or reliever to do that? I would guess there would be more relievers who played for 10 teams than one team. And did he ever have a bad year?
