Zona schools and while we are on the subject, why not take CU back with Utah as well. That was Dennis Dodd’s worst case scenario for the PAC a couple years ago.
In his now, not so far fetched PAC implosion, UCLA, Cal, UW, UO would make the B1G a literal Nation wide west 9 team east 9 team mega 18 team conference.
Then we have SC and Stanford going independent, leaving OSU and WSU joining the MWC.

The PAC is so far behind the other 4 as a whole in baseball, basketball and football, especially in the latter 2. If not for some out of the box thinking the PAC will continue its demise with lack luster overall performance in those three sports.

It seems to me the PAC needs Texas and the Oky schools along with another tag along Texas school to save the conference.

No disrespect to Boise, as they’ve been very successful vs the PAC as well as other P5 teams, but Boise isn’t going to save the PAC like Texas, Oky and Oky ST would.

It's not impossible, but it's hard. Here are some things UCF can do going forward if they want a chance.

1.) Don't play any team in FL that you don't have to, unless it's one of the 'Big 3'.

2.) Don't play home and home with big teams, offer to go to THEIR place and play or meet them in a neutral location. Notre Dame would be a great team to play.

3.) Schdule a Tier 1 or Tier 2 SEC team as an opponent. This could be anyone outside of Ole Miss, Arky, Vandy, and Kentucky. You do what GA State just did, and it's look a LOT better than what you did to FAMU.

4.) Slaughter your conference. You can't afford to have close games.

5.) Work to get your games on Thursday or Friday night. Become the prime time game and use that as your way to get nationall recognized.

6.) Then, you have to fight like hell to join a P-5 conference and show that you are trying, and being denied, chances to play a home/home with Clemson, Alabama, Georiga, Washington, Oklahoma, OSU, Michigan, MSU, Texas A&M, Auburn, Texas...The more you try and schedule one of the leaders from the other conferences, and get denied, the more sympathy you'll likely have.

7.) Don't put up fake banners and signs saying you are the National Champions when you didn't play anybody until you were invited for the Chick-fil-a Bowl and beat a deflated Auburn team. You like small time.
