We were supposed to get 6"-8" last night. That was at around 5pm they said that. At 830pm, they nonticed that the low moved into NW Illinois and told us it was over. So instead, we got over 1.5" of rain and everything is a wet, slushy mess.

They really blew that forecast.

We ended up w/ 9" here and they had 11" about 30 miles west in Fremont, NE. I live on a main road and I didn't even see a plow until well into the evening, so I think public works was caught off guard.

Another reason Iowa didn't get as much as expected is the storm started sucking dry air once it got east of us.

Weather is tough to forecast in these parts because there are so many variables.

On a good note these late season snows melt off quick.

Bout had a jackwaggon in a grand cherokee come across my bumper this morning as he was on the interstate and I was on thee onramp.....

Luckily it was before the merger of thee roadways and there was about 15 ft of snow between me and him and the snow stopped him from coming on to thee onramp......


I really wish people would learn 4x4 does not mean ye can drive like ye normally do...

Latest 10:00 news is calling for 2-4" of snow here tonight. Some of the computer models are calling for up to 6-7".
